Judging and Entry Criteria
Although the May Classic Horse Show is not a USEF rated show, KASPHA endeavors to follow the class specifications and judging criteria for the appropriate USEF and Hackney divisions.
KASPHA is a member of: Kentucky Association of Fairs and Horse Shows, South Central Hackney Association, and the Amerian Saddlebred Horse Association.
KASPHA members may join the ASHA as Affiliate members.
*KASPHA members who place 1st through 5th in qualifying classes accumulate points towards High Point year end awards. To earn points, the REGISTERED OWNER of the horse, including leased horses, MUST be a member of KASPHA before entries close for the qualifying class. In Equitation classes the RIDER must be a KASPHA member. Note: Owners who are members of ASHA may also qualify for an ASHA Pleasure Award to be presented at the Annual High Point Banquet.
# Natural Pleasure must be plain shod and is not eligible for any other class except Equitation, Hunter, Western, Walk & Trot and Academy. Extreme action to be penalized. May be asked to extend trot and halt.
Note: ASHA now requires the horse’s ASHA Registration number and the rider’s, owner’s and trainer’s ASHA ID numbers ( if they are members ) be submitted with the show results. Please be prepared with these numbers.
Health Certificate and Negative Coggins Required
Qualifying is not required to show
in the Championship classes.
