Job Description

The Job Description is specific to each position and sets out the duties associated with the position. The Manager, Workforce, Enforcement is responsible for:

  • Providing leadership to the Enforcement team;
  • Assisting the Director, Enforcement in the effective management of the Enforcement section;
  • Performing enforcement work as delegated by the Director, Enforcement or other management within Enforcement, including:
    - Preparing briefs of evidence
    - Analysing evidence and making proposed recommendations in relation to proposed enforcement action
    - Drafting material to support enforcement actions
  • Supervising staff in their operational work, and assisting with their training and career development;
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of strategies, policies and procedures to enable the effective enforcement of compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 and the Financial Transaction Reports Act 1988;
  • Modelling the professional work standards and behavious detailed in the APS Values and Code of Conduct;
  • Representing AUSTRAC in external forums and liaising with external stakeholders as required; and
  • Assisting the Director, Enforcement in the achievement of wider agency business and strategic goals.
