Dear Students,
I want to re-explain the course information that I did in the first lesson. Our 4-hour-course contains 2 hours of theoretic lecture and 2 hours of practical lab activities. All activities (lecture, demos and laboratory activities) will take place at YD 416.
The main purposes of this course are:
· To be able to develop educational content with regard to learning theories and instructional design perspective
· To be able to select or evaluate developed content with regard to learning theories and instructional design perspective.
According to these purposes;
The theoretic lecture topics will be selected from learning theories and instructional design perspectives. Lecture will include several quizzes, a midterm and a final exam. The midterm and the final will be graded out of 20 and 30 points respectively. The quizzes will be granted as bonuses. There will be guests from different schools, foundations and companies during the lectures. The guests may share their current problems in the field and expectations from educational technology.
The lab sessions will focus on the software (Articulate, Flash, Scratch etc.) that you can use for developing educational contents. You are expected to prepare a project with this software. There are two options for your project:
· 1st option: (Your area oriented) Applicable lesson design and its’ product (using blended, computer based, computer assisted or distance learning).
o You can only use the software that you learnt during the lab hours.
o The project should be prepared only by you.
o The project should be documented for later use.
o You should be able to explain the instructional design principles that you used to developed your lesson and the product.
o The project will be graded out of 40 points.
· 2nd option: Developing a solution for one of the guests’ problems.
o The solutions can include blended, computer based, computer assisted or e-learning products.
o At least 90% of the project should be prepared by you.
o The project should be documented for later use.
o You should be able to explain the instructional design principles that you used to developed your lesson and the product.
o You should submit the minutes of the meeting with the guest (toplantı tutanağı).
o The project will be graded 60 out of 40 points (%50 bonus).
o The product should be ready to use otherwise the grade will be reduced by 50%.
You can work in groups of two. In this case your project content should be doubled. Group members’ responsibilities should be fair, equivalent and declared before project declaration. Group members should explain the jobs done by each member.
Attendance is required. Missing four weeks results in course failure.
Lab activities and assignments will be graded totally out of 10 points

Sevgili Öğrenciler,
Sizlere CET 360.05 dersiyle ilgili ilk ders yaptığımız bilgilendirmeyi yazılı olarak da yapmak isterim.
Dersimiz 4 saatlik bir ders olup 2 saati teorik, 2 saati ise uygulamalı olacaktır. Derslerin tamamı YD 416 da gerçekleştirilecektir.
Dersin amacı siz mezun olduktan sonra;
· Eğitim teknolojilerini kullanarak içerik üretebilmenizi
· Üretilen içerikleri tasarım ilkeleri ve öğrenme metotlarına göre değerlendirebilmelerinizi sağlamaktır.
Bu amaçlar doğrultusunda teorik olan 2 saatte eğitsel tasarım başta olmak üzere eğitim teknolojileri üzerine odaklanılacaktır. Teorik olan kısımla ilgili quizler, bir ara sınav ve bir final olacaktır. Ara sınavdan en fazla 20, final ise en fazla 30 puan alabilirsiniz. Quizlerden alınan puanlar bonus olacaktır. Derslerimizde eğitim sektörünün farklı alanlarında görev yapan meslektaşlarımızı davet ettiğimiz ve onların eğitim teknolojisi ile ilgili beklentilerini/sorunlarını paylaşacağımız bir alan da olacaktır.
Yine dersin amaçları doğrultusunda 2 saat bilgisayar uygulaması olacaktır. Bu uygulama derslerinde sizlere eğitim içeriği üretebileceğiniz yazılımlar (Articulate, Flash, Scratch vb.) hakkında genişletilmiş bilgiler verilecektir. Edindiğiniz bilgiler ışığında sizlerden bir proje yapmanız beklenecektir.
Projenizi iki şekilde seçebilirsiniz:
1. Uygulama saatinde öğrendiğiniz bilgilerle yapacağınız; uygulanabilir, alanınıza özgü bir ders (Karma, bilgisayar tabanlı veya uzaktan öğrenme olabilir) tasarımı ve ürünü.
a. Dersiniz tamamen sizin ürününüz olmalı.
b. Sadece derste öğrendiğiniz yazılımları kullanabilirsiniz.
c. Ürettiğiniz dersin dokümantasyonu olmalı ki gerektiğinde uygulanabilmeli.
d. Dersi oluştururken dikkate aldığınız tasarım ilkelerini ve eğitim yaklaşımlarını açıklayabilir olmalısınız. (Sunum olarak veya isteğe bağlı olarak yazılı olarak)
e. Alabileceğiniz puan en fazla 40’tır.
2. Derse konuk olarak gelen meslektaşlarımızın sizinle paylaşacağı sorunlarla ilgili uygulanabilir çözüm üretmeniz (Karma, bilgisayar tabanlı veya uzaktan öğrenme olabilir). Alan dışı seçim yapabilirsiniz.
a. Çözümünüzün en az %90’i sizin ürününüz olmalı.
b. Ürettiğiniz dersin dokümantasyonu olmalı.
c. Dersi oluştururken dikkate aldığınız tasarım ilkelerini ve eğitim yaklaşımlarını açıklayabilir olmalısınız. (Sunum olarak veya isteğe bağlı olarak yazılı olarak)
d. Sorun sahibi ile yapacağınız görüşmelerin toplantı tutanakları belgelenmeli.
e. Ürününüz tam ve uygulamaya hazır olmalı, hazır olmayan ürünler ve dokümantasyonlar %50 kesintiyle puanlanacaktır.
f. Alabileceğiniz puan en fazla 60’tır (%50 bonus).
Proje hazırlanırken en fazla 2 kişilik gruplar oluşturulabilir. Grupların yapacağı projeler iki ders uzunluğunda olmalıdır. Grup üyelerinin sorumlulukları proje seçiminde belirtilmeli ve proje sunumunda yapılanlar ayrıntılı şekilde paylaşılmalıdır.
Derslere katılmak zorunludur, resmi mazeretsiz 4 hafta gelmemek dersten kalmanıza yol açar.
Bilgisayar uygulamaları sırasında yapılan etkinlikler ve ödevler 10 puan olarak değerlendirilecektir.
