WANTED – A new logo for our Bowling t-shirts. You design the logo and submit your art work to Susan no later than Friday, October 26. The winner will receive a t-shirt and a free night of bowling with MCAR Bowling League.

Come dressed in costume (optional). Pizza, cookies and punch will be served. The dance is sponsored by the Action Club. This is a community service group consisting of students from KCHS. Please enter in the cafeteria door in the back of the school.

Do you like Rock and Roll history, music and artifacts? If you do, you don’t want to miss this trip. We will visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. The Hall of Fame features exhibits, music, and history of the most famous rock and roll legends of all times. If you like rock and roll, you don’t want to miss this one!

We will have a guided tour of OglebayPark – Every year, several new displays are added and a few displays are retired. The new displays will be added to more than fifty favorites from previous years including the animated snowflake tunnel, a display that delights visitors as they drive through dozens of twinkling snowflakes and the massive polyhedron star – standing on the highest hilltop in Oglebay and emblazoned with over 2,000 lights. Also returning this year is the poinsettia wreath and candles, the festival’s tallest display, standing nearly sixty feet and fifty feet in diameter. Other display favorites include a candy cane wreath, the twelve days of Christmas and Willard the Snowman, named after the TV weatherman – Willard Scott, who “turned on” the lights in 1986.

Get’cha head in the game and celebrate the sounds, the songs, the bop and the pop in this all new ice show starring a cast of world class skaters. Experience the Wildcat frenzy and rock the house in Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour. I know you’re probably thinking you don’t even know what you are doing tonight and I’m asking you to know what you are doing on Sunday, January 20, 2008, but like I said, before the demand for this show is high, so just give me a $25.00 deposit by Friday, August 31, 2007 to confirm a spot for you.

We will stop at the Tower City Center Food Court to purchase lunch before the performance. Lunch will not be provided. Please be aware you will need enough money to purchase your own lunch and for snacks at the Arena. You can pack a lunch and eat it on the bus en-route to Cleveland.

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS: Deposits are expected with each registration. Deposit is $25.00 on one-day tours. Money orders and checks are accepted. Please make check payable to: MCAR. You may use your FSS Allocation to pay for the event as long as it is within regulations. Final payment is due three weeks prior to the tour departure. The balance due is payable up to twenty-one days prior to the scheduled trip departure date. If Final Payment is not received by such time, the full deposit will be forfeited and the reservation will be lost. Registrations submitted within twenty-one days of departure date must be accompanied by Full Payment. Special payment plans may possibly be arranged for guests who wish to pay for tours in installments. This will be done on an individual basis. Guests registering for a tour that do not attend, but fail to cancel with us will not be refunded.

  • If Full paymentis not received before the trip, your deposit and your space on the trip may be forfeited unless special arrangements have been made in advance. You will be notified if your seat was forfeited. Simply not sending in Final Payment does not tell us that you are canceling or not going. If you were not notified and you are a no-show, you will still be billed for the trip. You may substitute an individual in order to avoid loss of money, provided the Recreation Director has been notified in writing and by phone. It is the responsibility of the person registering the individual to make arrangements for transportation to and from the pick-up points.
  • CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: All cancellations must be in writing. You must follow-up with a phone call. Cancellations should not be made just to the answering machine or over the phone. MCAR will keep copies of all the written cancellations so there is no miscommunication. Day trip cancellations made fourteen days or less before departure and no-shows are non-refundable. Local events (bowling, bocce, etc.) cancellations made four days or less and no-shows are nonrefundable. If cancellation is made fifteen days or more prior to departure the refund will be less an Office Administration Fee based on the fee charged.

MCAR SITTER AND COMPANION SERVICE

MCAR’s Habilitative Aid services provides one-on-one or small group supervised activities for an individual. Habilitative Aids are trained in first-aid, crisis intervention, medical and issues related to developmental disabilities.

  • This Service provides short-term care (lasting less than 24 hours at any one time) for parents/guardians/caregivers of persons with specials needs.
  • Service can be provided before or after regular day program service hours.
  • Any person age 3 and up with special needs is eligible for the service.
  • The service can be provided in the family’s home or in the community.

Cost for Service

  • $18.50 per hour for one person. *Note rate change.
  • Call for rates for 2 or more people.
  • MCAR will bill the family or BHC for the service.
  • FSS money is eligible to be used to pay for this service.
