The GGC delegation will consist of six members as official representatives and will be led by the Chief Commissioner. At least one of the delegates will be an adult member under the age of 30.

CONFERENCE THEME:

“Imagine More”

Imagine More is a campaign based around the idea of imagining more for girls and young women, and spreading the message that Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting offers more than many people realize. It is a customizable tool to help individuals and Member Organizations (MOs) share stories and show the world that there is so much more to Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting. This theme has been chosen to create an overarching link between the World Conference and the Regional Conferences that took place in 2013.

By using the Imagine More theme at the World Conference, WAGGGS hopes to engage MOs in this global campaign and introduce them to the ways they can use this campaign to support their national growth. The campaign was developed with MOs in mind, and was designed to support membership growth, to break down myths about the role of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting in communities and to support the advocacy and community action work of MOs.

PROGRAM and ACTIVITIES:

The conference is both a business meeting and an interactive conference. The format will include plenary-type sessions on various topics, working in sharing groups and practical application sessions. The program will also include the WAGGGS Strategic Plan, various reports, motions regarding budget, membership fees and the election of members to the World Board. Delegates will have the opportunity to hear world-class keynote speakers and to meet with other conference participants from all over the world – both formally and informally.
