The Light is On for You (Feb. 26,2017)

As we prepare to celebrate the season of Lent, we are reminded that the Lenten season is a time for us to examine our lives and consider how we might return to the Lord. Returning to the Lord includes seeking God’s forgiveness and mercy through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Once again, parishes of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will participate in the initiative, “The Light Is On for You,” providing a diocesan-wide opportunity to go to confession on a single evening. Priests will be available to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation by offering private confessions on Tuesday, March 14 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Most parish churches (or pastoral regions) will have their doors open for you. Learn more at:

The Light is On for You

In most parishes or pastoral regions across the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available on Tuesday, March 14 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. During this season of Lent, consider making a commitment to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation and know the healing grace of God’s mercy and love. Also, if this date doesn’t work for you, parishes provide other opportunities to celebrate the sacrament either privately or at a Communal Penance Service. Learn more at:

Has someone you love stopped going to Mass or feels separated from the Church? Join the Lord in inviting him or her back to church. The doors of Catholic churches across the Archdiocese of Cincinnati will be open for quiet prayer and confession on Tuesday, March 14 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. The Light is On for You is a way for those who have been away from the Church to experience the love and mercy of God. If the time is right, invite him or her to consider talking with a priest and receive the grace of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Learn more at:

On Tuesday, March 14, from 7:00pm – 9:00pm most Catholic churches (or pastoral regions) will have their doors open and will provide the opportunity for private confession. Other opportunities for celebration of the Sacrament during the Lenten season will also be available. If you have been reluctant to celebrate the sacrament, have been away for some time, or just find it difficult to get to a Saturday afternoon confession time or communal penance service, March 14 will be a wonderful opportunity to experience the mercy of God and re-connect with the Church. Reconciliation Begins in Prayer

Sometimes, the first step to reconciliation is praying for the person with whom we need to be reconciled. Make a commitment to join us on Tuesday, March 14 from 7:00pm – 9:00pmas we gather for quiet prayer and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This will be an opportunity to pray for all of the situations in our lives that need the healing grace of Jesus’ love and mercy.
