Directions to ITS
BY RAIL
The University is situated about 20 minutes drive from Leeds City Rail Station. Trains to Leeds are frequent from all parts of the country and Rail timetable information can be found at the national rail enquiries website. From Leeds station you can catch the free bus to the University or follow the walking instructions below. Alternatively, take a taxi from the station concourse - just ask the taxi driver for the University of Leeds entrance off Clarendon Road. The main ITS building is on University Road, which is on the University Campus as shown on the map below.
BY ROAD
From the South via M1
*Follow the M1 to junction 43, where keep in the right hand lanes to take the M621. Exit the M621 at junction 2 (signposted Harrogate, York and Skipton). Take the 3rd exit from the roundabout, leading through a tunnel. After passing under a large railway bridge, take the 3rd exit (A58) to join Leeds Inner Ring Road (A58M). Take the exit signed Skipton (A660). Follow the A660 (Woodhouse Lane) north-west, and you will see the main University Buildings ahead of you. Turn left into the main entrance, immediately before the Parkinson Tower.
From the South via A1
Leave A1 (exit to Ferrybridge Services) to join M62 westbound. Exit M62 at junction 29 to join M1 northbound. Continue from *

From the North via A1 and from York via A64
Leave A1 taking A64 towards Leeds and join Inner Ring Road (A58M). Take the exit signed Skipton (A660). Follow the A660 (Woodhouse Lane) north-west, and you will see the main University Buildings ahead of you. Turn left into the main entrance, immediately before the Parkinson Tower.
From Harrogate via A61 and Wetherby via A58
Follow signs to City Centre. At Sheepscar (major junction east of the University) follow signs to University. At top of steep hill (Claypit Lane), turn right at traffic signals into Woodhouse Lane (A660). After passing the BBC studios on your right, you will see the main University Buildings ahead of you.
Turn left into the main entrance, immediately before the Parkinson Tower.
From Ilkley via A65
At Burley-in-Wharfedale take the A660 via Otley bypass to Leeds. Cross straight over Outer Ring Road through Headingley. Immediately after a dual carriageway section through Woodhouse Moor, you will see the main University Buildings on your right. Turn right just after the Parkinson Tower, into the main entrance.
From the West via M62
Exit M62 at junction 27 to the M621. Exit the M621 at junction 2 (signposted Harrogate, York and Skipton). Take the 3rd exit from the roundabout, leading through a tunnel. WALKING
Leeds city centre is relatively compact compared to many other cities, so walking is a viable option. The University campus is about a 20 minute walk from Leeds station: come out of the station into City Square; with the Queens Hotel behind you, walk straight up Park Row. Continue up Park Row until the first major junction. Cross straight over The Headrow and continue up Cookridge Street. At the next set of lights go straight on passing Millennium Square on your left and Leeds City Museum on your right. Turn left on to Woodhouse Lane, a busy main road. You'll pass Leeds Metropolitan University on your left and our University campus begins in another 100 metres, on your left. To reach the Parkinson building, carry on up Woodhouse Lane to the clocktower building. ITS is then just a few minutes away, but its best to consult the campus map to locate our building on University Road. You can also find directions from walkit.com
CYCLING
