SERVICESCHOLARSHIPINSTRUCTIONS

  1. The Highland Park Elementary PTA will award one $1,000.00 scholarship to an AustinISDHigh School graduating senior who meets the following Qualification Requirements.
  1. Must have 2.5 GPA or higher (High school transcript required - official or unofficial)
  2. Must have attended Highland ParkElementary School in Austin ISD for at least four years.
  3. Must submit a completed application.
  4. Must submit an individual creative presentation explaining the impact your service has had on your high school and/or community(see Page 3 of application).
  5. Must show proof of continuing education (college/university, community college, trade/technical school) to receive the scholarship.
  6. Must electronically submit completed application and creative presentation by the date and time indicated at the top of the application.
  7. The Highland Park PTA scholarship review committee is made up of at least 3 members—2 HP faculty members and a community member with ties to HP. Each member of the committee will read each application and grade it according to a common rubric. The application with the highest point total will be awarded the scholarship.
  8. Highland Park Elementary PTA will provide funding for this scholarship. The money will be awarded to the scholarship recipientafter they submita paid tuition receipt from the school they will be attending in the fall of 2018.
