Participant Information

  • iPad- To be eligible for the freeiPad, you must attend Session 1 with our featured speaker to receive your ticket. The ticket will be drawn after Session 5 in Salon C. You must be present to win.
  • Pre-registration benefits- Attendees, speakers, and vendors who pre-registered by September 15 are guaranteed conference bags and lunch. Conference bags are not guaranteed for those who registered after September 15.
  • Vendors/exhibitors will be available in the ballroom area from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm.
  • NCTM products-An NCTM table in the exhibitors’ area will showcaseNCTM resourcesincluding samples of their top-selling educational materials and special products. NCTM catalogs will be available for attendees to place orders for a 30% discount of the regular price. These Special Orders will be shipped from NCTM directly to the purchaser. KCTM Conference Awards Banquet

Each year, KCTM recognizes outstanding individuals in Mathematics Education Service and Achievement at what was formerly called the MESA Banquet. In 2009, it was renamedthe KCTM Conference Awards Banquet due to the fact that many award winners are recognized now each year on this very special evening. Last evening, MESA, PAEMST, and KCTM Grant awards were recognized. This conference banquet is held annually and we invite you- teachers, educators, family, friends- to come celebrate the accomplishments of others during this special time.

MESA Awards

The MESA Award was created by KCTM and is designed to recognize outstanding mathematics teachers (K-16), education professionals (administrators, state department personnel, supervisors, etc.), and business and community leaders who have supported mathematics education. This year’s winners are:

KCTM Classroom Teacher Support Grants

The Kentucky Council Teachers of Mathematics awards up to three grants of $1,000 each to encourage and support the efforts of KCTM classroom teachers in the development and implementation of innovative teaching strategies in the field of mathematics. The 2012 grant winners are:

Proposals must exemplify teaching practices that align to the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics Standards and should exhibit strategies that can enhance students’ knowledge and understanding of mathematics.
