GRAND LAUNCH OF THE INTERNATIONAL CAMPAIGN OF
VICTORY OVER VIOLENCE – OHIO
NOVEMBER 6-7, 2009, MADISONVILLE RECREATION CENTER
As a victim of gun violence, I have learned of an efficacious, successful, caring organization that has brought me from “victim” to “victor” to “voice” in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio. This organization is named the International Campaign for Victory Over Violence. (I have attached his vita.)
We have invited Mr. Fred “Vman” Watson, the International Liberty Award for World Peace recipient, Founder of the International Campaign for Victory Over Violence, and the Founder of International Crusade for Dads on Duty – Georgia (Metro-Atlanta), along with his staff, to help launch the International Campaign for Victory Over Violence – Ohio Chapter, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Cincinnati has been noted nationally as being one of the most violent cities in the country. We believe that on November 6-7, 2009, Cincinnati will send an indelible message to the rest of our country that we are “drawing a line in the sand” against all aspects of violence: gun and weapons used in violent attacks, rape, child abuse, spousal abuse, and the senseless murders of our children, mothers, fathers, civil servants, neighbors and friends. We would like for you to partner with us to take a firm stand to win victory over violence in our state, city, and communities.

PROGRAM OF EVENTS
Our event will begin on Friday evening at the Madisonville recreation center with our Grand Reception. This will be a “black tie” affair, with presentations by our supporting groups listed above. Again, the Founder of The International Campaign for Victory Over Violence and Dads on Duty, Mr. Fred Watson, will be our keynote speaker.
On Saturday morning, we will have a Grand Opening Parade and Rally lead by the Cincinnati Mighty Yellow Jackets…a group of young people taken off of the streets from gangs and drugs, to form an accomplished marching band, led by Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Austin. We are asking all groups to march and present their banners to the communities. We hope to be able to march through Walnut Hills and Evanston. (Our City Police Department is planning our parade route at this time. Our City officials are trying to make the $20,000 permit fee an in-kind donation.) We hope that as we inform the communities in the Greater Cincinnati Area, they will join us in support of non-violence in our city.
Workshops for those who are interested in becoming community leaders against violence will follow. Our workshops will also include strategies and techniques to help bring fathers, grandfathers, sons, and all men, back on “duty” in their family and communities to help solidify families, and lower the level and threat of violence.
Those who participate to become “trainers” in their communities will have the opportunity to work directly with Mr. Watson, the founder of ICVOV/ICDOD.
We hope that you will partner with us in the noble and crucial event by giving a financial donation to support the honorarium for our speakers and staff. Our budget is approximately $10,000. So far, all of the donations received have been in-kind. Therefore, our request is for $10,000 to cover the speaker and staff honorariums, travel costs, housing, and plaques to City Officials and Community Servants, food expenses, payment to off-duty police officers, and necessary technical equipment. (Your donation toward a violence-free Cincinnati could also help save our national government approximately 70 billion dollars spent toward non-fatal injury and violence, according to CDC statistic.)
Please help us bring Cincinnati, Ohio from tragedy to triumph.
Our goal is to bring
Victims of Violence to…
Victory Over Violence to…
And from “Victory to Voice”…
