Memo 17-16 Lodging Arrangements for 2018 KMC Winter Forum/3rd Cabinet Meeting

Aloha Cabinet Officers, District 50 Chairs, Fellow Lions,

Due to our lodging shortage at KMC during our 3rd Cabinet Meeting and Winter Forum (Jan. 26, 27, 2018), the following accommodations have been arranged:

1. Building 76, site of most of our meals and gathering place, will be one of the few cabins housing our Lions. It will be assigned to our Lions on a first-come, first-served basis. With the calls already received from Lions across the District, most--if not all--of the individual rooms there are filled.

2. TheGrand Naniloahas graciously provided discounted rates at$139/night(floors 1-5 with very limited view) for up to 25 rooms!PLEASE ASK FOR WENDY AT808 932-4531USING CODE: KMC.We would appreciate you making reservations as soon as possible (AND NO LATER THANDEC. 29) so we will have an idea if we need to add or reduce the number of rooms on hold. This is important as we have signed a contract committing to a certain number of rooms!

3. Individual roomswith Region VII Lion Hosts. There are limited rooms generously offered by a few of our Lions in Hilo and Mt. View. For these,please call Zone Chair Paul Sebala atfor more information and arrangements..

4. Makingyour own accommodationson-line with Air B & B's, etc.

TRANSPORTATION:

Transportation will be arranged for any Lion desiring rides to KMC and Grand Naniloa fromFriday, Jan. 26,Saturday, Jan. 27, andSunday, Jan. 28to the airport and to the Akaka Falls Lions Club Annual Wine Tasting Event (12 noon to 3:00 p.m.) and to the airport after the event.NOTE: Transportation accommodations will be provided for #1, #2, #3 only and with prior confirmation with ZC Paul!

General Instructions:

* Make your hotel reservations via #1-#3 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE (but no later thanDec. 29)

* InformBOTH Lion Sec Shige atand ZC Paul atof your lodging choice, flights, and your transportation needs

* ZC Paul, our trans coordinator, will follow up with your specific pick up times to and from, pick up points, etc.

For those coming in for ourCabinet Meeting only, we will arrange for transportation per your prearranged request. There will be no "registration fee" but lunch will be available for a nominal fee should you wish to join us.
