About the Presenters:

Mr. Sean Frost has been the sole proprietor of Sean Frost & Co. (Hong Kong) since August 2007. He has been a law costs draftsman in Hong Kong since 2002. Before that he was a law costs draftsman in Somerset and London since 1991. He has extensive experience in civil and criminal taxation proceedings in the Court of Final Appeal, Court of Appeal, High Court and District Court. This includes preparing bills of costs, lists of objections, negotiating settlements and attending taxation hearings. He is also involved in preparing schedules of costs for taxations by various Arbitration tribunals. He is a Law Society approved law costs draftsman in Hong Kong.
Mr. Alfonso Fung, sole proprietor of Messrs. Alfonso Fung & Co., has been in practice as an approved law costs draftsman since 1984. A pioneer in his profession, Mr. Fung taught himself computer programming, developed and published a specialist law costing software as early as 1986. The software was subsequently licensed to the Hong Kong Government for use in the Legal Aid Department. Mr. Fung has extensive experience in taxation of complicated and heavy cases on all levels of courts. He has been recognised in Who’s Who of the Law Hong Kong & China (1998-2000) and featured in the article “Technotalk – Computerised Costs Drafting – a word with Alfonso Fung” published in the May 1994 issue of the Hong Kong Lawyer.
Enrolment Conditions:
  1. The course is open to all solicitors and trainee solicitors.
  2. Places cannot be reserved by facsimile. Registrations will only be accepted upon full payment of the course fee and receipt of the registration form.
  3. Course fees shall under no circumstances be refunded. If you cannot attend a booked course, you may transfer your booking to a replacement delegate provided that the Academy is notified in writing at least one clear day in advance of the scheduled course date.
  4. If the course becomes full and you wish to have your name entered onto the waiting list of this course, please complete the enrolment slip and return it to the Academy together with the payment of the appropriate course fee. You will be notified before the date of the course if we are able to offer you a place at the course. A registrant whose enrolment is unsuccessful will receive a refund of the appropriate course fee.
