MACS Winter Invite

January 8-9, 2011

The Mission Aurora Swimming Colorado (MACS) Winter Invite swim meet will be held on January 8-9, 2011 at Eaglecrest High School in Centennial. This swim meet will draw over 450 athletes from 10 Colorado competitive swim teams. In addition, we anticipate over 1,500 participants and spectators at the meet.

This event is being held to raise funds for the general operating support of MACS. MACS is a USA Swimming year-round club with swimmers ranging from novice through national-level ability. We offer a well-organized, comprehensive, and competitive program. Swimmers are given every opportunity to achieve their goals within our team framework, which ultimately aids them in developing and mastering not only swimming but also many essential life skills.

About MACS

MACS proudly represents our community and consistently finishes among the top 8 teams in the state and has won several state championships. We have coached several Olympic Trial qualifiers, nationally ranked swimmers, and many state record holders from all age groups. Our team and coaches are well respected throughout Colorado and on a national level. We have served thousands of families over the years and have made a true difference in their lives and physical well-being. MACS prides itself on its developmental program, having many swimmers who have been members for five years or more.

MACS is a truly diverse team. We have 120 competitive swimmers ranging in age from 5 years old to 20. Our high school swimmers are top swimmers at Smoky Hill, Central, South, East, Grandview, Eaglecrest, Arapahoe, Cherry Creek, Rangeview, Hinkley, Overland, Regis, Legend, and Cherokee Trail. Several swimmers are home-schooled. At last count, our members can claim 15 different languages spoken at home. Our swimmers average in the top 10 percent in GPA, and many are Scholastic All Americans. Almost all of our high school graduates have gone on to college with a scholarship, either athletic or academic.
