Competition Terms & Conditions

Contestant Rules:

Contestant must be at least 16 years of age by October 29th, 2016 to participate.
Any contestants under the age of 18 must have parental approval for all activities required for the competition.
Contestant must never have been married. If currently engaged, the wedding must take place after the contestant’s term has been completed.
Contestant must not have been pregnant prior to, during the pageant competition, and during the contestant’s term.
Contestants must participate in at least each scored activity: Introduction Speech, Talent, and Question rounds.
Contestant must be ethnically Hmong by birth either in whole or in part.

Pageant Rules:

There must be six (6) or more contestants in each of the Miss Hmong Oklahoma and Mr. Hmong Oklahoma competitions registered in order for the competition to proceed.
Any contestant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult or have full adult consent for all activities.
Registration forms are due to any of the Pageant Coordinators by August 31st, 2016.
There are no registration fees for the competition year 2016-2017 for the pageant competition.
Appropriate and required attire during the competition is mandatory. Any contestant with exposed undergarments or unsuitable attire will result in disqualification.
Each contestant is required to have at least one sponsor.
There will be first, second, and third place wins for each of the Miss Hmong Oklahoma and Mr. Hmong Oklahoma competitions.
First place winners for each of the Miss Hmong Oklahoma and Mr. Hmong Oklahoma competitions will receive $1,500.00 and a crown. Second place will receive $700.00 and third place will get $300.00.
First place winners for each of the Miss Hmong Oklahoma and Mr. Hmong Oklahoma competitions must abide to the HMAAO, Inc Miss Hmong Oklahoma and Mr. Hmong Oklahoma contract and guidelines.

I understand that this competition is voluntary, in whichboth parties hold an equal right of withdrawal at anytime. I further understand that HMAAO, Inc is not responsible for any injuries and/or lost or stolen items during my pageant competition activities.
