LK 16:2219“There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day.20At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores21and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.
22“The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried.23In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.24So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’
25“But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.26And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’
27“He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father’s house,28for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’
29“Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’
30“‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’
31“He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”

II.GEHENNA THE FUTURE FINAL ETERNAL HELL
MT 13:4040“As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.41The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.42They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.43Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
A.THE GREAT WHIT THRONE JUDGMENT
REV 20:1111Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.12And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.13The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done.14Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.
B. THIS LAKE OF FIREWAS CREATED FOR
MT 25:4141“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
REV 20:1010And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

REV 14:99A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand,10he, too, will drink of the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.11And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.”
III.THE HELL SHOWN TO ME

1.THE FIRE BURNING BUT NEVER CONSUMMING!
B.HELL OF THE SOUL

1.I HAVE ALWAYS WONDERED WHAT THE DIFFERENCE WHY JUDGE THEIR WORKS?
2.WE HAVE A PHYSICAL BIBLICAL EXAMPLE
a)THE SIN OF ZEDEKIAH!
JER 32:34-3534They set up their abominable idols in the house that bears my Name and defiled it.35They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molech, though I never commanded, nor did it enter my mind, that they should do such a detestable thing and so make Judah sin.
JER 34:99Everyone was to free his Hebrew slaves, both male and female; no one was to hold a fellow Jew in bondage.
JER 34:1717“Therefore, this is what the LORD says: You have not obeyed me; you have not proclaimed freedom for your fellow countrymen. So I now proclaim ‘freedom’ for you, declares the LORD—‘freedom’ to fall by the sword, plague and famine. I will make you abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth.
JER 39:6They captured him and took him to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he pronounced sentence on him.6There at Riblah the king of Babylonslaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes and also killed all the nobles of Judah.7Then he put out Zedekiah’s eyes and bound him with bronze shackles to take him to Babylon.
3.THE PUNISHMENT OF EVERY SIN WOULD BE REVELED AND REVIEWED OVER AND OVER FOREVER!
4.NOT JUST THE SIN BUT THE COST OF THATSIN!

IV.WHO WILL NOT BE GOING THERE?
