Throughout the year we deliver large and small events, these include private dining and of course special wedding days. We have a number of exciting opportunities available for people who would like flexible hours and a great place to work! We have positions available in our Terrace and Brasserie Restaurant.

The Company:

The hotel is a privately owned 4 star hotel (83% AA merit score); with 96 bedrooms and 39 five star self-catering cottages, plus a superb new 5 bubble rated Spa.

The Headland Hotel and Spa, Cornwall’s most iconic hotel, sits gracefully perched on the edge of the vibrant town of Newquay overlooking the world famous Fistral Beach, with an eclectic mix of guests from laid back surfers to busy executives. A strong ethos of investment, customer care and personal development has been the keystone to the hotel’s success in recent years.

Nature of work undertaken:

We have events facilities for up to 250, where weddings, conferences, private dining and a whole host of other special occasions take place. The restaurant enjoys glorious views over Fistral Beach, with an outside Terrace and new Veranda there is no better setting to enjoy great food and service.

We take great pride in our high standards of service and our warm and genuine welcome from the whole team. Successful applicants will bring bags of personality with the ability to greet every guest with a smile, no matter how busy the day has been!

Previous bar or waiting experience is desirable. With lunch, evening and weekend shifts available we happily accept both full time and part time applications, with scope for flexibility to suit your needs.

What we can offer you...

We have a beautiful hotel in a world class location, but it is our fantastic team of staff that makes us truly unique. At all times we are friendly yet professional, courteous and kind, but never too formal or stuffy. Each individual’s performance will make a difference to what we can achieve as a team, and so we expect everyone to do their utmost at all times.

You will receive competitive remuneration, staff meals whilst on duty, membership of the staff and friends dining and accommodation scheme, use of the Leisure Area as well as reduced rates in the Gym, and a long service scheme including an extra day of holiday once you have completed just one year of service and an annual awards dinner for those who have completed five years or more.
