The hardy boys book 1

It starts off with the hardy boys on their way to their friend Chets house. On their way they notice some guy wearing a wig speeding down the hill in a yellow jalopy. They both point out it looks like Chets. When they get to Chets house they find that it was his car. So they look for clues. They visit all of the wig stores in the town. Will they find Chets car?

I didn’t like the book because of much reason. This an older book so I can’t relate to the book very well. For example in the book $25 can buy a car. I also feel that the style of writing is old too. For example from the beginning in new that the hardies would find his car because they’re always in the right spot at the right time. I feel that they should have to go looking around. With that being said they do in some parts. But if I were to rewrite the book I would make it have more exploring. That’s why I would rate it 3 out of 10

Jimmy Simpson

The book was a bibliography of his life. It starts of with his childhood which is really boring. But then it goes on to talk about his life as a tour guide in the parks. During the summer he would tour and during to winter he would live in Numtasa and go hunting. The book has funny story’s like when the rRCMP went looking for him he would lead them into areas so that they couldn’t find there way out. There was one time the RCMP paid him to go save there people. The epilogue was really good to which talked about what he is today.

This book was a very inspirational book! I read it because my dad recommended it to me. When he first gave it to me I was like “ oh great another hardy boy book style ”. But after I started to read it I thought it was really good. The coolest part of that book was when I found out that jimmy Simpson built Numtasa league. Because I have stayed there many time before. I would have to rate this book 9 out of 10. Because some of the backcountry camping trails that he made I have hiked. So from now on when I go hiking in the parks I always think of Jimmy Simpson
