The Greatness of a Real Player

I believe that when you show somebody how to play something and let them win a couple of times, that is a great moment for me. And when they soon be used to the game and they soon become great at that game, that makes me feel successful.

A day not so long ago, a friend was over my house. I had to do my homework. So while I was doing my homework, he played on his portable game device. A couple of minutes later passed by that same afternoon and I have completed my homework. My friend and I went to the living room to play some video games. He agreed.

My friend and I decided to do a special op on a shooter game. We were about to do an operation that he was not quite familiar with. I told him what we had to do and he understood. He followed my lead the first time we did the operation. We completed it perfectly.

My friend wanted to do the same operation again. I agreed. When the operation started, my friend all of a sudden started running ahead of me. He started to get all of the objectives. Whenever I tried to get an objective, he would get it before me. When we finished the operation, my friend did all of the work. I barely did anything and I tried to do some work.

My friend asked me how he did. I told him that he did amazing. After all the work my friend did by himself, I knew I taught him well. And I felt proud of myself.

I felt proud because he did a mission by himself the second time he played the operation. He did it all by himself and I didn’t even had to do anything. I knew that he fully understood what to do, so he didn’t need any help at all on that operation. That’s why I felt proud.
