The Goodall Wooten
INFORMATION
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Goodall Wooten is a privately owned dormitory operated as a residence for students of The University of Texas. The dormitory contains seven residential floors, some of which are normally reserved for upperclassmen or graduate students and the others are for freshmen. Unless there is a special request to the contrary, assignment of rooms and roommates is made on the basis of age, similar interest, and home background insofar as possible. To assist residents in their adjustments to the University, a minimum of one upperclassman, who has been successful in his/her adjustment to the student life, is assigned to each floor as a resident assistant.
RENT: Our lease agreements cover the entire term of nine months. The rates are subject to change until a contract is signed and accepted by the dormitory.
DEPOSITS: Each resident will be required to put up a deposit when they make their reservation. The deposit is to cover breakage and compliance with the contract and is not applied to rent. The deposit is refundable within 30 days after the end of the term, providing the resident complied with all the conditions of the lease agreement. If a resident who makes a reservation for the Long Term notifies the manager in writing on or before May 1 that they desire to cancel the reservation, the deposit will be refunded, minus the $35.00 processing fee. The deposit will be forfeited for cancellations received after May 1. For returning residents, deposits are maintained from the previous year.
CLEANING OF ROOMS: Housekeeping is provided to clean the room and bathroom during the week. Residents must hang up their own clothes and keep their discarded clothes in their closets which will assist the housekeeping staff in maintaining the rooms in good condition.
