The Ghana Tech Show: The Action Time is here!

THE GHANA TECH SHOW

INTRODUCTION

Scientistsbelieve that ‘Matter is neither created nor destroyed”. However, what is known is that, matter can be discovered. This assertion summed up the importance of Ghana’s Technology Show dubbed “TheGhana Tech Show.”

The Ghana Tech show is an innovative product fromKotlers Management Services with the primary aim of bridging the gap between Academia and industry. It attempts to bring to the fore the use of firsthand technology to improve the way we solve problems in the local milieu.

Brimming with energy and enthusiasm from organizing the 3rd Banking and Insurance Fair at the National Theatre, KotlersManagement Services presents the first national technology show, which will create the platform for participants to showcase the relevance of technological breakthroughs, research, inventions and mysteries of science from Ghanaian senses today and also how they may change the lives of the citizenry tomorrow.

The rationale behind the Ghana Tech Show is to empower every Tom, Dick and Harry in Ghana to find a way of coming out with innovative ideas of solving the myriad of problems confronting us as a people; from sanitation, through water purification, the generation of electricity and alternative sources of power to the production of tooth picks. Indeed, this show has come at the right time to help Ghanaians eschew the dependency mentality, invoke competition through research and critical thinking and inculcate the ‘can do spirit’ into the people, with the view of pushing the populace to invent simple tools like stone crushers, water filters, sort out the drainage system to make biogas or manufacture made in Ghana airplanes, to mention but a few examples. When all these had been showcased and demonstrated, industry players and entrepreneurs will team up with the inventors and take the prototypes; assembled and turn them into profitable business ventures in the districts, regions, towns and cities.

Consequently, the main aim of the Ghana Tech Show is to lead the way for the configuration of Ghana’s industrialization drive, particularly the siting of industries and factories across the length and breadth of the country.
