Applications are invited from persons who are not more than 35 years of age (in case of General Candidates), 38 years of age (in case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes) and 40 years (in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) as on the fifteenth day from the date of publication of this advertisement for appointment in 5 (five) vacant posts (Actual and Anticipated) in Grade-III of the Manipur Judicial Service in the scale of pay of Rs. 27700-770-33090-920-40450/- per month plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules, so as to reach the office of the Registrar, Gauhati High Court, Imphal Bench, Imphal on or before the fifteenth day from the date of publication of this advertisement. Belated and incomplete applications will not be entertained.

A candidate must be a citizen of India as defined in Articles 5 & 6 of the Constitution of India and must be a holder of Degree in Law of a recognized University. Reservation shall be in accordance with Manipur Judicial Service Rules 2005.

The candidates shall have to appear in a Preliminary Written Examination of objective questions with multiple choice and successful candidates shall have to appear in a final written examination. Successful candidates in the final written examination shall be called for and Interview/Viva Voce. Candidates shall have to bear their own expenses for appearing in written examination/ Viva Voce.

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes who obtain 50% or more marks or corresponding grade in the written examination shall be eligible for Viva voce and other candidates who obtain 60% or more marks or corresponding grade in the written examination shall be eligible for Viva voce.

Numbers of posts advertised include anticipated vacancies also and therefore, the actual vacancy position may vary. Mere selection would not per se entitle a candidate to claim appointment.
