Statement of Faith-PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY

We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments only, is inspired by the Holy Spirit, is free from error in the original manuscripts and is the perfect and authoritative Word of God.

We believe that the one triune God exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Adam, created in the image of God, was tempted by Satan, the prince of this world, and fell. Because of Adam’s sin, all people are guilty of sin, are totally corrupt, and need to be born again into the resurrection of Jesus, and through the power of the Holy Spirit to be saved.

We believe that Jesus Christ is God, was born of a virgin, died vicariously, shed His blood as man’s substitutionary sacrifice, physically rose from the dead back to life, and ascended to heaven where He is presently exalted at the Father’s right hand.

We believe that we are saved by the forgiveness of our sins which is only achieved through the blood of our perfect Saviour, and that we can have eternal life because He was raised from the dead. We believe that we receive this eternal life by faith alone, apart from works.

We believe that the return of Jesus Christ is imminent and that it will be visible.

We believe that the saved will be raised to everlasting life and blessedness in heaven living eternally with God, and that the unsaved will be raised to everlasting and conscious punishment in hell, eternally separated from God. We believe that God is just in both.

We believe that the Church, the Body of Christ, consists only of those who confess that Jesus is Lord, and believe in their heart that God raised him from the dead.

We believe that the holy life, lived in the power of the Holy Spirit, is necessary for fruitful witness and service in the Body of Christ.

We believe that Christ commanded the Church to go in to all the world and preach the Gospel to everyone, baptizing, teaching, and discipling those who believe.

I agree wholeheartedly with the above statement of faith.
