The Forgotten Clan: Picture Allegiances
Rockstar was a dark gray-black tom with gold eyes. He was the very first leader of RockClan and had created the long living Clan as well. He had also helped create JungleClan that harbors the jungles below the cliff boundary. When Junglestar thought Rockstar was trying to take control of his Clan, the JungleClan leader banished all RockClan cats from the territory and ever since RockClan’s existence, but not its history, had been long forgotten. In the history of the Steam Pond in RockClan’s territory, it was said that Rockstar discovered the lave tube under the bubbling water and followed it to the inside of the volcano, just barely escaping the intense heat. Rockstar died of old age and left the leadership to Brasspelt.
Brassstar was always a curious cat and sometimes stuck his nose in places it didn’t belong. His lithe, golden-brown body always was thought to be better for the moorland in WeatherClan’s territory, but Rockstar saw it as RockClan’s next leader. Brassstar led the Clan into a joyful golden age until he was killed by a pack of stray dogs only a few moons after he became leader. He left the next leadership spot open for Boulderflame.
Boulderstar was a gray-and-ginger tom with a striking handsome appearance. When he was an apprentice, he caught the attention of every she-cat, but only one out of them all caught his eyes, and it was against the warrior code. He fell for Opalshower of StreamClan when he became deputy, and soon there was a kit on the way. When he became leader and when he finally put his full attention on the Clan, Opalshower gave birth to Waterstar. No one but Opalshower knew who the father was, and even Boulderstar didn’t know about Waterstar being born. When Boulderstar died of greencough and left the leadership to Sandbreeze, Opalshower broke down but stayed strong for her daughter.
Sandstar was thought to be strongest of the RockClan leaders. He brought the Clan into an era where all the Clans feared the strongest of them all. Sandstar wouldn’t back down from a challenge and always manage to talk his Clan into pushing forth everything they had to win a battle. The time Sandstar reigned over the Clan proved a time of victory and only victory until an unexplained illness attack the leader and left him weak and vulnerable. He had to retire early and leave the leader position to Rubbleshadow. He died only two moons later when the illness kept him from eating and drinking. The oldest elders of the Clan remember the sandy colored pelt of the tom the most because it reminded them of the victories they won in their time.
Rubblestar was a large, fluffy, blue-black tom with green eyes. He had once pronounced that he had a sister in a Clan called LittleClan, and their brother Lunarblaze found him much later as he ruled RockClan. Rubblestar was strong, but described as too nice to the other Clans when they needed help from one another. He led the longest leadership of RockClan’s history and kept the Clan going no matter what. He made mistakes along the way, like any cat would: he mated with Waterstar, the StreamClan leader, and had kits they later named Dazzleeyes, Stormcloud, Diamondheart and Sweetwhisper. When StreamClan needed Waterstar more than he needed her, she left RockClan and her kits to lead her Clan once more. Rubblestar eighth life was spent over a broken heart, leaving the leadership to Iceshadow. He was finally killed in the volcano explosion and the PureClan battle that took so many lives.
Pebblewing was a brown she-cat with green eyes and a black tail tip. She was the trusted and loyal deputy of Rubblestar throughout her whole life. They had trained together when they had been apprentices and when they were warriors, everything was planned out. Fortunately everything went according to plan until she was killed in a rock fall. Opalflower was saving her daughter Songkit when the volcano blew its top for a second time and Pebblewing went in to save them. Just as she handed the kit to her mother over the stones blocking the camp entrance, a ground shake shook free another stone as Pebblewing started climbing and fell upon her, ending her life quickly. Rubblestar was very upset when he lost his deputy. In the end, she was replaced by Iceshadow.
Fallenpoppy was a black-white-and-golden she-cat with a free personality. When she was a kit she always had believed that she was going to be a warrior, but when the medicine cat, Ashfault was getting too old, Sandstar gave Fallenpaw to him. She found out that becoming a medicine cat wasn’t so bad and discovered that she had a great mind when it came to remembering all the herbs. A couple moons after being made into a full medicine cat before the eyes of CometClan, Ashfault died of his old age and left the medicine den to Fallenpoppy. It wasn’t long before she took on her own apprentice, Flowerbeam. When the volcano blew the second time, for the first time her age started to show. Ash had gathered in her lungs and she passed away and joined the ranks of CometClan, where Flowerbeam took over and had Opalflower become her apprentice instantly.
Snowmist was a gray-and-white fluffy she-cat with blue eyes. She was originally from JungleClan, born from Brightsoul, and Ashfall of VolcanoClan, and was the sister of Slushfang and Fangstar. Leaving her old Clan, and her old name Mistysnow, she joined RockClan when Flamestar tried killing her mate Twisterclaw. For moons she searched for her mate, and she finally found him in PureClan where she told him that she was expecting his kits. In the end she gave birth to Opalflower, Iceshadow, Nightwhisper, Destinyfern, Whisperstorm, Bravewish and a still-born she had named Thornkit, and later on Teatherglow, Silentpoppy, Sageblossom and Flashfang. She had never told her Clan that she was born in JungleClan and said that her mother was Starshine and her sister was Opalshower of StreamClan. Opalflower figured out this lie when Starshine said she was scared of having her first litter of kits and then met Brightsoul later. Snowmist was unsure if Opalflower had ever forgiven her when she died in the PureClan battle. She now knows that her daughter takes pride in her guidance from CometClan now.
Twisterclaw was a white tom with brown- and-black patches and one emerald green eye and one icy blue eye. He was the son of Barksnow and Mudnight and the brother of Sedgewhisper in JungleClan. He was once an apprentice that had been falling for Mistykit. When they both became warriors, they became mates but Flamestar didn’t like it; he wanted Mistysnow as his own mate. Flamestar tried killing Twisterclaw but failed and banished the tom instead. He left as Claw and joined the ranks of PureClan where Snowmist told him that she was expecting his kits, Opalflower, Destinyfern, Icestar, Bravewish, Whisperstorm, Nightwhisper and Thornkit, and could be found in RockClan. He was seen many times in the dreams of Opalflower, Icestar and Destinyfern when they were kits, warning them that Granitefoot was not their real father but that he was. They wouldn’t believe that their father could be a PureClan cat, not until they found out the truth. He fought against PureClan when RockClan attacked the rouges and tried saving Opalflower’s life, but Icestar had reached her sister first. Claw joined RockClan and became known as Twisterclaw and only a couple moons later watched Opalflower fall over the height of a waterfall and watched as she returned home. He later had another litter of kits with Snowmist, consisting of Teatherglow, Silentpoppy, Flashfang and Sageblossom.
Icestar is explained to be the greatest warrior the Clans had ever seen, sometimes stubborn and bullheaded, but always the best hunter and fighter. Her black, gray patched pelt can always blend nicely in the territory of NightClan, and her icy blue eyes would find herself a place in FrostClan instantly. She is the daughter of Snowmist and Twisterclaw; her father was once believed to be Granitefoot. He tried killing her once when she was returning to PureClan after meeting with RockClan, but she left him wounded. She only went to PureClan because she was finding a way to help the outcasts of the rouges and help her Clan rid themselves of the rouge Clan. She killed the leader, Tiger, and also became trusted completely once again. She took the name Iceshadow and became mates with Lunarblaze. When he died, she was heartbroken, but never did she realize that Lunarblaze was given a second chance and he instead cheated on her. She had miscarried his kits because Scar had attacked Icestar, and Opalflower blamed it on herself. When the volcano erupted for the second time, she was named deputy after Pebblewing was announced dead. She then took up the role of RockClan leader when Rubblestar lost his last life due to Jet. While she had been in BlogClan, she found Emeraldnight, who became her mate. She had his five kits, Darkeyes, Lilystreak, Tinyleg, Nightclaw and Emeraldsoul. Upon returning to RockClan when CometClan announced that it was safe to go home, Icestar received her nine lives, appointed Opalflower as medicine cat, made her kits into warriors, and appointed Redfox as the new RockClan deputy.
Opalflower is very peaceful in her nature, but when it comes to battle or drama she will get in the middle of it to stop it. She goes against the medicine cat code because she believes in following in her heart. When she was born to Snowmist and Twisterclaw with her siblings Icestar, Destinyfern, Whisperstorm, Nightwhisper, Bravewish and Thornkit, Opalflower was curious about the medicine den. She liked the thought of healing her Clanmates instead of using her teeth in claws, but there were no medicine cat openings for her to take up, so she had to settle as becoming a warrior. She had a great mentor in Swanfeather, and secretly Flowerbeam as well. She never was a great fighter, always ending up in a bad spot and having to be saved. Icestar saved Opalflower countless times, and then the medicine cat would sometimes suddenly get these bursts of courage, go off on her own and discover so much that had been unknown. She had discovered the Clans below the cliffs, brought VolcanoClan to a new home as well as discovered the Moonpond and Diamondstone, save a kit in the eruption of a volcano, discovered WoodClan beyond the fence boundary, and journeyed into many other Clan territories. When she was still a warrior, she had fallen in love with Splashleap, borne his kits Mosspaw, Doveswirl, Moonshower and Songbird. She was broken hearted when he was crushed, but she ended up being happy with Buzzfox and having his kits in BlogClan they named Vixenfrost, Morningdapple and Jewelflare. During her time as a medicine cat when she returned to RockClan, she soon found her future brightened by Lioncrash, and has two kits with him they named Jadewhisper and Goldensoul.
Destinyfern is a brown-and-white she-cat with blue eyes and soft, fluffy fur. She has big paws for her smaller size, and her tail is short and poofy. She was born to Snowmist and Twisterclaw and has lived beside her siblings Opalflower, Whisperstorm, Nightwhisper, Bravewish, Thornkit, and Iceshadow, who she once always fought with. They sought out peace between each other when they went searching for Opalflower in VolcanoClan’s new territory. Destinyfern never was really that into toms, but in the end she found the right one: Zeekstorm. They became the happy parents of Omenstorm. Destinyfern was found out to have had been born without a soul and felt empty inside her whole life until she was united with a free roaming soul named Foreverheart. They speak through a mind link, thought Foreverheart can detach from Destinyfern’s body.
Nightwhisper is a shy black she-cat with intense green eyes. She isn’t much of a fighter as she proved when he was an apprentice under the training of Halfwhisker. A moon before her training would have been finished Nightwhisper fell in love with Zapstripe and then was expecting his kits, Lostsong, Lightningflash, Sunstreak, Darkthorn and Shadowclaw. When RockClan fought PureClan, she snuck from the nursery and went into battle. She was seen going in and together Twisterclaw, Icestar, and Opalflower went in after her. She came out without any wounds and the night they were all made into warriors, she gave birth to her kits.
Whisperstorm was a gray-and-black she-cat with green eyes.
Bravewish is a thick furred, gray-white-and-black tom with emerald green eyes. He can be very bossy and sometimes stubborn. When they were kits, Bravewish was thrown aside by Zapstripe when he was an apprentice. Icestar ran in and defeated the apprentice in vengeance and they brother and sister became closer. His parents are Twisterclaw and Snowmist and his siblings are Icestar, Opalflower, Destinyfern, Nightwhisper, Whisperstorm and Thornkit, and Teatherglow, Silentpoppy, Sageblossom and Flashfang. When he was staying in BlogClan, he helped Galaxyshard into BlogClan camp after a battle between the Clan and the Dusk Syndicate, and they instantly fell in love; Bravewish’s former mate Sealfur had died in the PureClan attack moons before. Bravewish and Galaxyshard now have two kits named Shadefern and Twistersnow.
Thornkit was a small gray tom-kit with green eyes. He hadn’t been the runt of the litter, but he had been born still-born. He never got to see the light like his other siblings, Icestar, Opalflower, Whisperstorm, Nightwhisper and Bravewish. Snowmist and Twisterclaw have rejoined their son, and Rubblestar, when he joined CometClan, said that he would have named Thornkit Thornsky if he had become a warrior.
