There will be no premiums or prize monies awarded. ADGA rosettes will be awarded for Grand Champion, Reserve Grand Champion, Best of Breed in each breed and Best in Show.

NOTICE: The Senior Doe & the Junior Doe shows are sanctioned separately. The Senior Bucks & the Junior Bucks are Combined into one show & are not sanctioned separately

RULES AND REGULATIONS

The AMERICAN DAIRY GOATASSOCIATION rules shall govern.

1. ENTRY FEES:

Entry fees are as follows for3-Ring Senior Doe, Junior Doe or Sr/Jr Combined Buck Shows

Postmarked on or before March 10, 2017.....S15.00 per entry (FDGA Member)....S17.00 per entry (Non-Member)

LATE ENTRIES

Postmarked on or after March 11, 2017 ...... S25.00 per entry (FDGA Member)thru day of show(s) ...... S27.00 per entry (Non-Member)

**PLEASE NOTE: ENTRY FEES MUST ACCOMPANY ENTRIES. ALL entry forms MUST be signed by the exhibitor. Entries received without payment will be considered late and late entry fee will apply. "NO REFUNDS-NO EXCEPTIONS''. A maximum of 5 substitutions will be allowed at check in (a change in class is not considered a substitution). Late fees may be waived at the discretion of the show committee.

3. ARRIVAL AND VET CHECK:

Early arrival will begin Friday, March 17, 2017 at 5 PM until 8 PM. Please notify Nick Cindric 386-299-9114or email him if you plan on arriving Friday. The vet will be there from 6:00 PM-8 PM.

Regular arrival for Saturday, March 18, 2016 will be from 6:00AM-7:30 AM. The vet will be there from 6:00AM-7:30 AM. The show will start promptly with Senior does at 8 AM

Regular arrival Sunday March 19, 2016 from 7:30 A.M to 9 AM. The vet will be there from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. The show on Sunday will start promptly at 9:30 AM.

An accredited veterinarian will be checking animals BEFORE they are UNLOADED and allowed into the barn/show arena between the vet hours listed above. You may come and set up your pens/tack in the barn prior to the vet check. If you are setting up pens in the parking lot, you may offload your animals into the pens for the vet check.

4. REGISTRATION CHECK IN:

Check in schedule for registration of animals is as follows:

Friday, March 17, 2016: 6 PM until 9 PM

Saturday, March 18, 2016: 6 AM until 7:30 AM

A maximum of 5 substitutions will be allowed at check in (a change in class is not considered a substitution).

ITIS THE EXHIBITORS RESPONSIBILITY ΤΟ ΜΑΚΕ SURE HIS/HER ANIMAILS ARE CHECK IN BEFORE THE BOOKS CLOSE AT THE TIMES LISTED ABOVE, NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE AFTER THAT TIME.

5. PENS:

The facility has permeant solid horse stalls (12*12).You may purchase a stall for $35.00 for the whole show. Tack stalls will be available for $10 work the weekend. This is still considered a tail gate show and you may set up your own pens. If owner sets up his/her pens all bedding, hay and debris MUST be removed and placed in the proper receptacle prior to departure.

6. SHOW ATTIRE FOR OPEN SHOW:

White or black pants/shorts/capris/skirts and plain white shirts are mandatory. Herd/club logos and pin striping on collar/sleeve is acceptable. No short shorts or tank topsor yoga pants allowed for show attire. Closed toed shoes or boots are required, and hats or caps are not allowed in the show ring. Exhibitors not conforming to the dress code will not be allowed to enter the ring.

7. JUDGING:

Judging will begin at 8:00 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2016 starting with Sr. Doe Show then followed by Youth Showmanship, and conclude with the Jr. Doe Show.

Sunday, March 19, 2016 will be the Sr/Jr Combined Buck show. Judging will begin at 9:30 AM on Sunday, March 19, 2016.

The judges and their secretaries will begin in the rings listed below and move to the next ring as judging ends. When judging of a breed is completed, the animals will remain in the ring or at ring side, and the judge and secretary will move to the next ring.

Each breed will show in one ring for all shows; judges and secretaries will move.

  1. The Senior and Junior doe shows are separately sanctioned. The breeds sanctioned for senior aare: L= LaManchas, N=Nubians, ND=Nigerian Dwarfs, RG=Recorded Grades A=Alpines. O= Oberhasli, T= Toggenburg S=Saanens

The Senior and Junior Bucks are a combined show. The breeds sanctioned are,L-LaManchas, N=Nubians, ND=Nigerian Dwarfs and AOP=AOP (A=Alpines,Oberhasli, Saanen, Sable,Toggenburg). The Buck Show will start with LaManchas, Nubians and Nigerians in their respective rings.

3. To keep the show progressing in a timely manner, the order of the show is subject to change. Exhibitors

with more than one breed need to be prepared to have additional handlers or to rely on the Show

Committee to provide handlers so that classes are not delayed.

**The order of the show may be subject to change by the Show Committee at the request of exhibitors Showing multiple breeds or in the event of unforeseen circumstances. **

8. HEALTH RULES:

All goats must have a certificate of veterinary inspection and a scrapie premise number (call 352-333-3120 or visit for information). A health certificate current within 90 days for goats originating in the State of Florida or 30 days for goats originating from out of state. Goats originating in the State of Florida no longer require testing for tuberculosis or brucellosis. Goats originating from out of state must have been tested for tuberculosis and brucellosis within 90 days of the show.

9. LIABILITY FOR LOSS OR THEFT

The owner or custodian of property of any kind brought to the Fairgrounds; either for exhibit or for other purposes, assumes as a condition of its admission to the grounds, all risk and/or responsibility for its loss, damage or theft.

The Florida Dairy Goat Association, Inc., its officers, members and volunteers cannot and will not accept responsibility and liability for any damage or injury resulting from theft, fire, the elements, accidents or other conditions or causes; whether to exhibits, property of exhibitor, vehicles on the grounds and articles left therein or any other property of any nature whatsoever.

10. GENERAL:

The American Dairy Goat Association registration certificate is required on all animals 6 months of age or older. A duplicate application for registry stamped by the ADGA office is permissible for animals under 6 months of age. The registration or stamped duplicate application must be available to the show secretary at the time of arrival.

All dairy goats must be dehorned, disbudded, or naturally polled.

Dogs are not allowed at the show.

The show chairperson will designate where to dump milk at check-in. No awards will be given to any animal in any class, if in the opinion of the judge said animal does not meet breed standards.

Over-uddering of dairy goats is frowned upon. The judge shall have the authority to excuse animals from the ring for removal of excess milk.

It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to properly feed, water, milk, and care for their animals. Failure to do so will result in exhibitor's immediate expulsion from the premises.

Please make sure your animals are correctly tattooed. Failure to do so makes your dairy goat ineligible to receive credit for their win.

The Florida Dairy Goat Association, Inc. will use every precaution in their power to protect the animals, but they will not be held responsible for injury, fire, theft, or death.

The Show Committee shall have the authority to expel any exhibitor or any in their company for failure to abide by these rules contained herein, or for unacceptable conduct. The exhibitor and/or any in their company will also be prohibited from showing at this venue the following year. By application for admission, each exhibitor and any in their company agree that they have read, understood, and will abide by these rules and the General Rules of the FDGA (including the IAFE National Code of Show Ring Ethics and items within the “Health Regulations' section of the General Rules).

11. RELEASE:

Please leave the grounds as you found them. All bedding and trash must be removed and put into designated containers before you may leave the grounds.

Dairy goats and exhibitors will be released following the last class in which you are showing, unless you must remain for Best in Show.

12. Showmanship

Showmanship has been move and is now between the senior and junior show. There will be three divisions

Junior ages 10 and under

Intermediate 11 to 14

Senior 14 and older

The ages may change depending on the amount of entries per divisions. Prizes will be determined by donations. If you would like to help please, contact someone on the show committee. Please use entry form and list the child’s name, age, division. The animal must be registered in the open show to be used in showmanship.
