RE: L3 Academy Call for Proposals -1st Notice

Strategic Plan Goal 5: Learning Organization: We will promote and support innovative and exemplary curriculum, professional development, and instructional practices in order to continuously enhance teaching and extend learning.

The Department of Professional Development is excited to announce a new event for district administrators called the Leader Lead Learning (L3) Academy. On August 4, this event will combine one of GISD’s greatest resources, our leaders, with the

Fundamental Five initiative. The format for this conference is “For Leaders, By Leaders,” which means it is your time to shine! We need campus administrators to partner with teacher leaders and/or assistant principals to showcase how the

Fundamental Five is being implemented at your campus. Sessions will be 50 minutes in length and can include topics such as classroom strategies, student products, overcoming “road blocks,” fostering ownership, or administrative implementation. The goal for sessions is to share not only how your campus is successfully implementing the

Fundamental Five, but to also share ideas your colleagues can take back to their schools.

Please click on the following link to submit your session proposal. The deadline to submit is May 21, 2015.
