The Fairland Local Board of Education held its regular meeting on April 10, 2017.
The following members were present at roll call: Mr. Gorby, Mr. Lewis, Mr. Ward and Mr. Appleton.
20-17 CONSENT AGENDA #1 ITEMS APPROVED
Mr. Gorby moved second by Mr. Appleton to approve the following consent agenda #1 items:
A) Approve the following substitute:
· Larry Tomlin – custodian and maintenance
B) Approve the retirement of Linda Harris, bus aide, effective May 26, 2017
C) Accept the resignation of Deborah Alaine Purdum, 6th grade reading teacher, effective May 26, 2017
D) Accept the resignation of Patrice Daniel at the end of the school year
E) Approve the retirement of Connie Merb, Fairland East Secretary, effective June 30, 2017
F) Accept the resignation of Vanessa White, Fairland Middle School Cheerleader Coach
G) Approve an increase in appropriations in Fund 300 from $120,000 to $130,000
H) Approve spending an additional $8,066.63 from Fund 003 Permanent Improvement on the batting cage facility if necessary and approve payment of the invoice to Specialty Systems Electric in the amount of $8,784.38 for electrical work at the batting cage facility
I) Adopt a resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Lawrence County Budget Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies
J) Approve the bank reconciliation, SM2 report, FUNDSUMM, and FINSUM reports for March 2017 as presented by the Treasurer
K) Approve the minutes of the March 13, 2017 regular board meeting
L) Approve the CHEKPY report for March 2017 presented by the Treasurer

21-17 EXECUTIVE SESSION
Mr. Gorby moved second by Mr. Lewis to go into executive session to consider the employment of a public employee or official.
