Role/Terms of Reference
Nature: / To promote allied health in burn care in Australia and New Zealand.
To provide an opportunityfor burn allied health workers to network with colleagues, gain information, exchange ideas and practices.
Promoteprofessional peer support and growth and to facilitate continuing education.
Improving quality of care through research and quality improvement projects
To provide a forum to progress key projects of bi-national importance relevant to allied health in burns care.
Reporting line: / Chair of the Allied Health Sub-Committee reports to the ANZBA Board (the position of Chair of the Allied Health Sub-Committee is not an ANZBA board position). They will advise the board of items that need board approval and table minutes of the executive committee to the board. The Chair will provide an annual report of the Committee’s activities to the ANZBA membership.
Frequency of meetings: / A minimum of four times per year via teleconference to be convened by the Chair. Annually at ANZBA ASM. At other times as deemed appropriate by the committee / chair.
Quorum for meetings will be a half of membership plus one.
Quorum for passing motions will be half of membership plus one.
List of any working parties: / Working parties reliant on individual projects
Membership
Executive Membership: / There will be one representative from each state/territory; NSW, Vic, Tas, SA, WA, NT, Qld and NZ.
The Chair and Secretary will be elected from within this committee. The immediate past chair (if not a current state representative) will be a member of the executive.
All executive members will be Ordinary ANZBA members.
Term of Office: / State/Territory Representatives, Chair and Secretary terms will be 2 year with a maximum term of 3 consecutive terms. Term of office of immediate past chair will be one year. The year shall run from on ANZBA ASM to the next ASM.
Nominations for Executive: / Nominations for a representative from each state/territory to be held at the ANZBA ASM AH forum. These people will form the Allied Health Sub-Committee Executive. If multiple nominations are received then ANZBA allied health members will vote for nominated candidates.
Nominations for the positions of Chair and Secretary to come from the Allied Health state/territory executive members.
Ratification of successful candidates will then be undertaken by the ANZBA Board.
Expectations of Executive Members: / The members of the Executive will cease to be a member if absent from three consecutive meetings without approval from the committee. If unable to attend meeting members may send a proxy. Proxies may not attend more than three consecutive meetings.
Members of the Executive to represent their state or territory and the Allied Health Sub-Committee Executive. They will communicate the activities of the committee to their state/territory Allied Health members and feedback from their members to the executive.
