The European Projects Association invites students of the University of Łódź to train their vocational skills in the heart of the European Union in Brussels.

Shortly about EPA and its vocational training for students: EPA is a non-profit organization focusing on research and development, innovation and internationalization. We actively help in creating European projects. According to our bilateral agreement with the Regional Office of the Lodzkie Region in Brussels our interns are also involved in actions and events organized by our partner. This is a unique opportunity for young people to see and compare work in different offices in international environment. Our interns can gain knowledge in every particular filed connected with policy of the European Union. During training we also encourage young people to attend conferences and meetings organized by European institutions.

Tasks of the trainee: The detailed internship program will be adjusted according to the participants’ specific needs andserve as a practical, working experience. The student is expectedto:

1. Participate actively in all the job‐related processes proposed by their Tutor.

2. Take part in different events organized by the hosting institution and its partners, offering support with both the logistics and the content of the event.

3. Help the management and development of the online platform of the organization:

4. Prepare briefings and reports on events in Brussels in which they will participate and publish them.

5. Collaborate with the European Academy for Education and Social Research in the organization of Master courses, collaboration with EPA Territorial Contact Points around Europe, possible collaboration in project writing and project ideas.

Basic requirements of the participants:

1. The knowledge of English, optional language French.

2. The knowledge on the European Union (institutions, policies).

3. Good writing skills.

4. Good computer skills (office package).

5. Good communication and organizational skills.

6. The field of studies: European, Political or Social studies (including Economy), international relations, public administration or management.

The main result of the internship is a contribution to the development of future professional career of a student through practical skills related to the EU institutions and specific EU policies by:

‐ enhancing their knowledge about the European project development and implementation process

‐ expanding their knowledge and skills on the functioning of the EU institutions and bodies

around them, including higher education institutions, business sector and NGOs

‐ improving their knowledge in a specific sectorial EU policy chosen accordingly to the student’s needs

‐ improving the ability to apply IT solutions at work

‐ developing language skills related to the field of education of the student

‐ gaining experience in a big NGO operating in a cooperation with public administration institutions and the business sector

‐ increasing social and cultural competences by working in an international team and an experience of living in Brussels, a cultural melting pot.
