NEW – UPCOMING SELECTION OF TEMPORARY AGENTS - CROATIAN MOTHER TONGUE -

Translators of Croatian mother tongue, grade AD5
Assistants of Croatian mother tongue, grade AST1:

The Committee of the Regions (CoR)and theEuropean Economic and Social Committee (EESC)willjointly organise a selection oftemporary agents, translators (AD5) and assistants (AST1)ofCroatianmother tongue, with a view toengagesuccessful candidates (according to the institution's needs and sufficient budget provisions)under the temporary agent scheme,for a period of one-year(starting date to be determined, probably summer/autumn 2012).

You must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

to be a national of EUor Croatiaand enjoy your full rights as a citizen

to have fulfilled any obligations imposed on you by the laws concerning military service (if appropriate),

to be physically fit to perform your duties,

for translators: to have a level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma

for assistants: to havea level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, or a level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary educationand appropriate professional experience of at least three years.

In addition:

the applicants for translator positions have to prove relevant professional experience of at least three years, must have a perfect command of Croatian (mother tongue or equivalent) and be proficient in English or French and two other languages among French, English, German, Italian or Spanish;

the applicants for assistant positions must have a perfect command of Croatian (mother tongue or equivalent) and be proficient in English or French.

To be considered for the above mentioned positions, you are invited to register in the Committee of the Region's database by 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the latest, at the following address:

Candidates with the relevant profile will be invited to confirm by email their interest and availability. The CVs (in Europass format) of the interested applicants fulfilling the above mentioned requirements will be transmitted to the requesting service in the CoR and EESC Translation Directorate, which will screen them and determine which applicants (max. 20) have the most suitable profile in order to be invited to the selection procedure (tests and interviews are planned to be organized in April 2012).

In case of non respect of the eligibility criteria or of a false declaration you will be immediately disqualified at any stage of the procedure. Supporting documents will be required prior to any recruitment.
