One of the great links courses in Scotland, The Old Course is a challenging test of golfing ability. With the wind to contend with , & deep rough interspersed with gorse & broom, accurate golf shots are essential. Platyers should make their scores on the outward nine, as the prevailing north westerly wind can make the back nine extremely difficult.

The original Championship golf course at Carnoustie was planned and laid out by Robert Chambers, a publisher from Edinburgh, in the early 1830s. The club is one of the tenth oldest clubs in the world.
