Scheme for Extending Financial Assistance to Sugar Undertakings 2014
Please refer to your DO letter no F.No.1-1/2014-SDF dated 28.01.2014 addressed to our Chairman and e-mail dated 04.02.2014, on the captioned subject.
2. In this regard, we have issued instructions to our Branches regarding implementation of the captioned scheme and as discussed we have amended the Annexure-II (form tobesubmittedby Focal Point Branch of lendingbankstothe Nodal Bank) of the aforesaid DO letter ( copy of the amended form II is enclosed).
3. Commercial Branch, Mumbai has been identified as Nodal Branch for the scheme as the same Branch has acted as Nodal Branch for a similar scheme for “ extending financial assistance to Sugar undertakings”, notified by Government of India in 2007, where State Bank of India acted as Nodal Bank.The Branch is handling the earlier scheme along with some other schemes through a dedicated cell. The cell is well acquainted with the operational issues relating to the scheme and is also having requisite infrastructure/expertise. 4. The nodal branch has been advised to co-ordinate with your Department as well as other participating banks for smooth implementation of the scheme.
5. In this regard, we have also requested Indian Banks’ Association (copy enclosed)to advise all the participating banks about the Nodal Branch i.e State Bank of India, Commercial Branch, Mumbai and circulate the forms (I, II & III) along with the operational guidelines for the scheme.
