THE DIONYSIA & JAMES PAPPAS STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIP

The CWU Foundation and International Programs Department have received a generous gift to honor Dionysia and James Pappas, both active members in the Central Washington University and Ellensburg communities. The purpose of their scholarship is to enhance study abroad opportunities for CWU students.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Enrolled, full-time CWU Undergraduate with a major from the College of Arts & Humanities
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Required to share your study abroad experience as arranged through the study abroad office.
  • Must submit the following additional materials:
  • Completed application form
  • Submit a 2 page statement explaining how your planned study abroad program will benefit your future studies and career.
  • Must provide 2 letters of recommendation

*May 1st: The deadline for any Summer or Fall Quarter study abroad program (post-Spring

Quarter Faculty-Led Programs that occur in the Summer are also eligible).

*November 1st: The deadline for any Winter or Spring Quarter programs (post-Winter Quarter

Faculty-Led Programs that occur during Spring Break are also eligible).

SCHOLARSHIP DECISIONS

Decisions about scholarship awards are processed according to CWU’s Financial Aid Office procedures. A complete application submitted on time gives you the best chance at being considered for a scholarship award.

*Preference will be given to students who are participating in an approved CWU SAEP Study Abroad Program.
