Job Title:Site Supervisor

Reporting To:Contracts Manager

Pay Rate:TBC

Job Description: To ensure all projects and tasks are constructed exactly as defined by scheme designs and delivered in a timely, cost effective and safe manner. As site supervisoryou will be directly responsible for the day to day running of site operations and will be accountable for maintaining programme, quality control, updating and enforcing site specific risk assessments and method statements, while liaising with sub-contractors and clients. As a Somerville team member your will be a representative of the company and as such, would be expected to act accordingly fostering new and maintaining existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to and liaise directly to the Contracts/Projects Manager
  • Maintain the works schedule and flow of communications throughout the contract team
  • Liaise with other Somerville team members to ensure priority and delivery of materials and goods
  • Track competencies of team members and provide leadership and development as required to achieve company objectives.
  • Develop relationships and maintain a strong productive core site team
  • Remain available and in direct control for all out of hours working
  • Maintain and improve health and safety standards in compliance with ISO18001
  • Work with the health and safety manager to carry out risk assessments and method statements as to add betterment to existing company policies and procedures
  • Maintain and improve quality standards in compliance with ISO 9001
  • Manage and control the day to day operations, ensuring a high standard of housekeeping of the site
  • Must work alongside site teams on site in a hands-on capacity as and when required
  • Manage all sub – contractors, joiners etc and deal with any issues as and when required
  • Delivery of project works on time and to a high specification
  • Ensure quality of workmanship and that all projects are delivered to the standard Somerville’s expect

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Criteria / Essential / Desirable
Qualifications/ Attainments / HND or other relevant 3rd level joinery qualification
Possess up to date CSR card
Relevant Knowledge and Experience / Possess a minimum of 10 years site foreman experiencein particular, high end retail and commercial fit-outs
Excellent knowledge of joinery installation / Workshop experience
Skills and Competencies / Excellent interpersonal and communication, negotiating and influencing skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent planning and organising skills
Demonstrate ability to pay close attention to detail
Evidence of good timekeeping and reliability
Evidence of good problem solving ability
Proven strong organisational and time management skills
Good computer literacy including Microsoft Office and CAD
Able to accurately read and interpret AutoCAD drawings
Circumstances / Must be prepared to work flexible hours, including weekends
Must be able to travel throughout NI, Ireland and Mainland UK
Possess a full, clean driving licence
