Queen

MALISSA RICHARDSON

Queen Malissa Richardson is the daughter of Trent and Lorilee Richardson of South Jordan, Utah.

  • Malissa has a strong background of service to her community. She taught “Becoming the True You” class series for teenage girls. She coordinated a Bingham High School Assembly for youth and parents, discussing the harmful effects of pornography. She also organized a Young Women presentation on modesty for ward and stake members.
  • Malissa enjoys piano, ballet, vocal, theater, nutrition, cooking, running and public speaking.
  • She graduated from high school as Senior Class President, Girls State Graduate and National Honors Society Member. Malissa won the title of Miss South Jordan in 2011.
  • Her goals are to earn a Master of Education degree and to teach in New Zealand through BYU’s study abroad program. She would like to continue her work on educating citizens of Utah on the harmful effects of pornography and become an accomplished speaker.
  • The dying words of her ancestor Mary Murray Murdock were “Tell my son I died with my face toward Zion.” These words became a personal creed for Malissa and have inspired her all her life.

First Attendant

CHELSEA ALLEY

First Attendant Chelsea Alley, the daughter of John and Cori Alley, resides in Bountiful, Utah.

  • Chelsea is passionate about dancing and has been dancing for twenty years. At BYU, she received a Dance Education Major and is currently performing with and choreographing for Dance Ensemble. She enjoys teaching dance at a middle school and volunteering her dance and teaching talents to “Hoofbeats to Healing,” teaching special needs young adults at the Winter Festival and teaching at the Child International Utah Day of Dance.
  • Her training in piano and voice has prepared her to share her love for the arts by helping her students develop their bodies, minds and souls.
  • Chelsea was the Youth Line student leader for the education team on a humanitarian mission to Peru and helped raise money for and served in the Guadalupe Program. She has served many hours as a volunteer for the South Davis Community Hospital and the Inn at Barton Creek Rest Home.
  • Chelsea was awarded an academic scholarship to BYU. Additionally,she was chosen as the School and Regional Dance Sterling Scholar.
  • Chelsea feels her pioneer heritage is important because she is standing on their shoulders, building on their legacy and encouraged by their faith. They may not have known her in their lives but she will not forget them in hers.

Second Attendant

LIZZY DAVIS

Second Attendant Lizzy Davis, the daughter of Richard and Wendy Davis, resides in Salt Lake City, Utah.

  • When Lizzy graduated from high school as a Utah Scholar she received the Deans Scholarship and Ellen Eccles Collaborative Artistry Stipend at USU, the Sons of Utah Pioneers Scholarship and the USU Service Scholarship and Regents Scholarship.
  • At East High, Lizzy served as a student body officer for four years with one of those years as “Speaker of the House”. She became two-time state champion in swimming, all while learning to play the organ and piano.
  • Lizzy hopes to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Major in music with a double emphasis on piano performance. She would like to work as a collaborative artist with large ensembles and be a vocal coach.
  • She feels that her pioneer ancestors paved the way for her to live in this community of opportunities and blessings. She appreciates this and hopes to use her opportunities to bless her family and communities.
