The D48 office building with LEED Gold pre-certificate
25th July 2016, Warsaw:The D48 Office Building, which is currently being constructed by Penta Investments in Warsaw’s Mokotów district, has received the LEED® pre-certificate on teh Gold level, in the category LEED® Building Design and Construction:Core and Shell Development.
Similarly as all office projects carried out by Penta Investments, also the D48 office building shall be a showcase of modern architecture, involving a number of solutions which are environment-friendly and ensure top-class efficiency of the building, such as:
a system ensuring maximum use of sunlight, but simultaneously preventing overheating of the rooms,
water fixtures reducing the use of water and production of water,
environment-friendly cooling solutions, not contributing to depletion of the ozone layer and to the global warming,
solutions ensuring high quality of air in the rooms (through the control of moisture and temperature levels, as well as through supplying more fresh air than provided for under Polish standards),
regulation of the heating and cooling systems in order to ensure the highest level of thermal comfort for the tenants.
"The construction progresses according to schedule. Negotiations are underway with the first tenants for whom the environmental certificates, efficiency and work comfort for their employees are very important. We want to actively reduce the environment pollution, also through support for alternative transport means, namely electric cars.The underground garage and external car parking of the D48 building shall hold charging stations for electric vehicles, and dedicated parking spaces.Moreover, we shall ensure extensive bicycle infrastructure (bicycle paths, bicycle stands under roofs, changing rooms for those biking to work).Additionally, special green areas will be arranged close to the building and on its terraces. Selected plants and watering system will allow to reduce water use", said Damian Grzywacz, Senior Manager at Penta Investments, in charge of Penta's investments in the Polish real estate market.

About the D48 project
D48 is an A-class Office Building, located on the most prominent corner of the corporate area in the Mokotów district in Warsaw, at the intersection of the Domaniewska and Postępu streets.D48 shall offer over 26 thousand squarte meters of office space, on 11 floors on the Domaniewska street side and 8 floors on the Postępu street side.The size of spaces available at a single floor will allow the tenants to flexibly design their functional interior spaces.The D48 will include spacious terraces offering a view of downtown Warsaw, and the plot on which it is built will hold green areas with modern landscaping elements.Owing to the efficient planning of the building's form and its placement, the clear height (2.75 m) and the fully glazed facade, each office floor of the D48 will use daylight lightining to the maximum extent possible.The building shall also include a number of amenities for the tenants, including a restaurant, newspaper kiosk, pharmacy, relax zones etc., located in the space of around 1800 square meters on the ground floor level of the building.There will be a total of 480 parking spaces in the two-level underground parking garage and in the external parking lot. Access to both parking lots will be provided by two independent entry ways - from the DomaniewskaStreet and from the PostępuStreet.
The building should be completed and put into operation in August 2017.
Total project value is estimated at circa EUR 45 million.
