1.  Ms. Washington: Commit to quit program – shared class, hour long session with open discussion that meets once a week. 42% success rate for people 6 months later. Cost is free for Creighton employees. $75 otherwise for 8 sessions. 1-1 option as well, though more expensive. Can do both as well, 30-60 minutes. $53 a session. Medicare/Medicaid pay for 4 sessions as well. Handout provided concerning information. Creighton-specific programs have also been offered Quit With Billy program. Watch someone’s quit progress online. Want to pilot a program for students. Will have to be developed, as no similar program is offered yet. Will hopefully be doing just that over the summer – want to give an opportunity for students to attend Commit to Quit meetings – Creighton will pay partial amount, so students only pay $35. For 1-1 session, 2 sessions for $45, Creighton covering the rest. May will be beginning point. Want to revamp Quit with Billy again. Will be piloting in the fall of 2011, and will be representing the process to Student Services. Want student help with curriculum development, also want to offer information seminars. Hope to get 25 people for fall program. Quit with Billy looking ot recruit help in May, including students, to help improve the website design. Start testing in August. Make active and review.

a.  Mr. Gill: When you mentioned doing a condensed session, has that been done before?

b.  Ms. Washington: Nope, everything we’d be doing is a pilot program.

c.  Mr. Boitano: What was attendance like in 2008?

d.  Ms. Washington: I don’t have that information. I will have an answer shortly though.

e.  Ms. Lovett: How many students at Creighton consider themselves smokers, and how are you contacting these students?

f.  Ms. Washington: I don’t know, I’m sure that Student Services has an idea, the only information we have is for faculty. I’ve been contacted once, but there have been other requests. Enough that it’s a concern though.

g.  Ms. Lightfoot: Do you expect a lot of students to be there in May? Would that be a problem?

h.  Ms. Washington: No, we’re not expecting a lot of students and that’s our already set program, so it’ll be fine either way. Contact information will be left with Doug McAcy.

i.  Mr. McAcy: It’s important for us to know what programs are being offered. We’re planning on sending out a survey this week to find out about students smokers to tailor a program for these students. Any input is appreciated. This will be a job for the Marketing Committee.
