Resolution approving the Designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Jackson Heights Historic District, Designation List No. 254, LP-1831 (L.U. No. 57; 179094 HKQ; N 940195 HKQ).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on October 26, 1993 a copy of its designation dated October 19, 1993, (the "Designation") of the Jackson Heights Historic District pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on December 23, 1993, its report on the Designation dated December 15, 1993 (the "Report");
WHEREAS, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on January 24, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;
The Council hereby resolves that:
Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council approves the Designation.
