Best of LA

Best of LA is a program taking place on Friday October 14, two days before the &THEN 2016 conference in Los Angeles.

Participants will visit four companies with an exciting and inspiring digital story. Each of the companies will make a presentation, telling about their business model and/or their digital service/product. After the presentation there will be a dialogue between the company representative(s) and the Best of LA participants and specific areas of interest can be enlightened. Finally, there will be a tour of the premises giving the visitors a feeling of the company atmosphere and culture. Each visit will take approx 1½ hours.

The program is being developed as you read this. The ambitions are high. We want to find four of the most relevant and interesting companies, and we want to be sure that they understand the purpose of the visit – and that they are willing to deliver.

The companies with which we have a dialogue at the moment are

Snapchat – more than 100 million users every day

Wevr – a virtual reality company

Scopely – a very successful online gaming company

Disney Research – one of Disneys’s innovation labs

TBWA\CHIAT\DAY– a renowned advertising/digital agency

Mediakix– an influencer marketing agency

The Best of… program was launched in Boston in 2015 in connection with the first &THEN conference. 15 Danish conference attendees chose to come to Boston two days earlier and participate in the Best of Boston program – and they were very happy they did. From the evaluation we know the program was very successful. The companies we visited last year wereHubSpot – Acquia - Boston Red Sox – SapientNitro.

The Los Angeles program is being offered to both the Swedish and the Danish &THEN groups. We have a maximum of 30 participants as many of the companies have restrictions on how many visitors they will accept. We intend to divide this equally into two allotments: 15 Swedes and 15 Danes.

The participants will be picked up in the morning at the hotel and driven by bus from company to company – and back to the hotel at the end of a day full of stimuli. We will visit two companies in the morning, have lunch at a restaurant along the way, and visit another two companies in the afternoon.

In order to attend the Best of LA program you need to arrive to Los Angeles on Thursday October 13.

The price for the program is SEK 3,600. This includes 4 visits to companies, lunch, and bus transport.
