Mt. Comfort is the largest cemetery in Natchez Trace State Park and Forest. It is located on Maple Lake Road approximately six miles north of I-40 and is well maintained and very active. However, the large relatively open are near the center of the cemetery probably is full of burials. Unmarked graves may number in the hundreds. Recorded April 25 and 26, 2001.
