THS Booster Club Minutes
January 9, 2012
Present: Ken Kittredge, Karen Lester, Dominique Fox, Kerri Gedansky, Susan Machuga, Melissa Brancati
Secretary’s Report- Melissa Brancati
· The minutes from the last meeting on November 21, 2011 were reviewed, and a thank you letter regarding a donation to the CAPT scholar breakfast was read. Kerri Gedansky made a motion to accept the Secretary’s Report as presented, seconded by Ken Kittredge.
Treasurer’s Report- Susan Machuga
· The cash balance as of January 7, 2012 is $13,471.34. Dominique Fox made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report as presented, seconded by Kerri Gedansky.
· Susan will not be sending out a second reminder to the staff for teacher reimbursements.
Principal’s Report – Dominique Fox
· Dominique noted there have been several changes made to the remaining school calendar. The last day of the first semester has been changed to January 25, 2012. Providing there are no snow days between now and then, final exams will be held on January 26th and 27th. January 30th will be a day off for the students, and the second semester will begin on January 31, 2012. School will be held on Tuesday, February 21st..
· 8th grade orientation will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012.
· Open house for the second semester will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012.
Athletic Director’s Report – Pat Cox (not present)
· No report.
Staff Appreciation – Holly Sucheki (not present)
· A Chocolate Extravaganza will be held on either February 10th or 17th.
Scholarship Drive- Mary Ann Lovett
· The committee has held a meeting and plans are underway for the scholarship drive, to be held in March.
Spirit Wear- Kelly Nick
· A decision was made to purchase a few items of spirit wear from mylocker.net to display at Open House.
Chairperson’s Report- Karen Lester
· The profit from the Barnes and Noble fall fundraiser was $88.
· After discussion, a decision was made to hold the Barnes and Noble fundraiser in the spring.
· Basketball concessions have brought in $375.55 to date.
· We are looking for new ideas for spring fundraisers.
· We are looking for someone to chair the Battle of the Bands.
