Student and Parent read and sign course syllabus and safety contract. / 1. I can name the 4 material requirements of Global Science.

Tuesday / Greet your neighbor
Ice Breaker: Getting to know you in bigger groups.
You Tube and Pepper w/ short writing assignment.
Finish Lab Safety (Practice naming equipment and explaining broken glass procedure.)
Notes Day 1: The Scientific Method Observation vs. Inference
Scientific Method/Vocabulary / 3. I can name, locate and explain the use of safety equipment in the classroom.
4. I can read a non-fiction article and form a coherent response in writing.
5. I can explain the difference between an observation and inference and provide examples.
Wed./ Thurs. / More Safety (Practice naming equipment and explaining broken glass procedure.)
Lab 1: The Scientific Method: 2L bottles, accertainers, surfboards and cardinals. / 6. I know that science not only knowledge but a process of curiosity, discovery and experimentation.
