The Books in Heaven: Made Manifest

The Books in Heaven: Made Manifest

Session 2

The Books in Heaven: Made Manifest

  1. The Books: Manifesting

Romans 8:29–30 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; 30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

  1. Paul lists 5 steps ….
  1. Foreknowledge
  1. Foreknowledge speaks of that which happened in the council of the Lord. In this council decisions were made about destinies in the Earth.
  2. This includes individuals, cities, states, businesses and nations and the Kingdom agenda each would fulfill.
  3. All of this occurred before time began and were written down in books. Anything that has a Kingdom purpose is written in a book, if it is important in Heaven there is a book about it.
  1. Predestined
  1. Predestined has nothing to do with us not having a choice or free will.
  2. We can have a predestined plan for our lives and not fulfill it.
  3. Each person has a book in Heaven about them. We can choose to discover what is in the books about us or disregard it and go our own way.

2 Timothy 1:9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity,

  1. When we find our purpose we also discover grace to accomplish our purpose.
  1. Called
  1. This is where we begin to get clues and even visions of what we were made for.
  2. We begin to understand what the Books in Heaven have in them about us.
  3. This can begin at any age. It can begin before you are saved. It can happen after you have known the Lord for decades.
  4. One of the biggest questions people have is what, what was I created for? What is my purpose, destiny, identity?

Psalm 40:6–8 Sacrifice and meal offering You have not desired; My ears You have opened; Burnt offering and sin offering You have not required. 7 Then I said, “Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me. 8 I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your Law is within my heart.”

These verses are actually Jesus prophesying over Himself.

John 4:34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.

Hebrews 10:4–10 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. 5 Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says, “Sacrifice and offering You have not desired, Buta body You have prepared for Me; 6In whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You have taken no pleasure. 7 “Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come (Inthe scroll of the book it is written of Me) To do Your will, O God.’” 8After saying above, “Sacrifices and offerings andwhole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You have not desired, nor have You taken pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the Law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first in order to establish the second. 10 By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Not only the Word (Logos of God), second Person of the Godhead, but also that which is written in the Books of Heaven became flesh.

Hebrews 10: 7 “Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come (Inthe scroll of the book it is written of Me) To do Your will, O God.

Psalm 40:8 …. Your Law is within my heart.”

Torah - teaching, instruction, .. i.e., information that is imparted to the student

Jeremiah 31:33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

2 Corinthians 3:3 being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

  1. Whatever is written in your book in Heaven is also written in your heart.
  2. If you want to discover what is in your book, look in your heart.
  1. It is amazing how we can be influenced away from following what is in our heart. Fear, logic, opinions of others, no visible path forward … all these and more can convince us to do something other than what is in our heart to do.
  2. When we begin to discover the Godly passions in our heart … our interests, aspirations, longings, and passions … we are discovering clues about what is written in your book.
  3. At times our lives become so cluttered and busy that we need the Holy Spirit to come and unveil for us what is in our heart.
  1. Justified
  1. Justified has legal implications. The word means to be rendered just or innocent.
  2. In other words there are no accusations that can stick.

Revelation 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night.

  1. Accusations are what Satan uses to keep us from what is written in our books.
  2. Many people are frustrated because they have a keen awareness that they are meant for more than they are seeing or experiencing.

2 Corinthians 10:5 We are destroying speculations (calculation, consideration, reflection) and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God (not just Him alone but His work and activity), and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (Hebrews 10: 7 “Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come (Inthe scroll of the book it is written of Me) To do Your will, O God.),

So, we are to embrace that which is written in His book about me and destroy every thought that says it is impossible.

Romans 2:14–15 For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, 15 in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them,

Jeremiah 29:11 ‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.

  1. The accuser is presenting evidence in God’s Courts as to why He cannot legally grant to you what is written in your books.
  1. Satan knows if that which is written about us is granted it will damage his work in the Earth.
  2. He uses accusations to stop us from stepping into that which is written.
  3. If Satan’s argument is the only voice heard in the Courts of Heaven, if Satan’s evidence is the only evidence being presented …. What then is the outcome?
  4. Therefore, the accusations of Satan must be answered. Once this is done God as Judge is free to release what is written about us.
  5. I do not believe this is a onetime court appearance, but is repeated as we discover new things that are written in our book that need to be released.
  1. Glorified
  1. This is not about going to Heaven. It is speaking about us fully stepping in to what is written about us.
  2. We begin to live the dream God has for us …. The plans He has for us, plans of welfare and not calamity.
  3. This is where everything we have gone through, good and bad, works for our good propelling us into our destiny.
  4. We see this in the life of Joseph who was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers. He ended up ruling over the house of Potiphar only to be thrown into prison again. Then promoted to the Prime Minister of Egypt to become the preserver of life that God hadwritten in His books that Joseph would be.

All of these things worked together to get Joseph to his appointed place.

Note:

The critical part of this process is being justified. Once we get the legal maneuverings behind us and a judgment from Heaven God can freely give us what He has written in the Books of Heaven.

  1. The Books: Contending For

Daniel 7:9–12 “I kept looking Until thrones were set up, And the Ancient of Days took His seat; His vesture was like white snow And the hair of His head like pure wool. His throne was ablaze with flames, Its wheels were a burning fire. 10 “A river of fire was flowing And coming out from before Him; Thousands upon thousands were attending Him, And myriads upon myriads were standing before Him; The court sat, And the books were opened. 11 “Then I kept looking because of the sound of the boastful words which the horn was speaking; I kept looking until the beast was slain, and its body was destroyed and given to the burning fire. 12 “As for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away, but an extension of life was granted to them for an appointed period of time.

Revelation 20:11–15 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

  1. The Word Became Flesh
  1. Satan has tried to exterminate the Jewish race several times. This was an effort to remove from the planet the race of people through which Jesus would be born.
  2. Then after Jesus was born Herod sent a decree to destroy babies that were in Jesus’ age range. This too was an effort to destroy Him.
  3. Why is this important to Satan? What was the purpose?
  4. This was to keep what was written in the Books of Heaven about Jesus from entering the Earth realm.
  5. This is true about anything that is written in Heaven’s Books. There will be attempts by the powers of darkness to keep that which is written from coming to Earth.
  6. What is written about you will be contested! Satan does not want what is written to manifest. It is our job to see that it does!
  7. We MUST realize that the conflict for that which is written does NOT happen on a battlefield but in a courtroom.
  8. That is why when the court is seated in Daniel 7 the books are opened … it is in a courtroom that the purposes of God get into the Earth.
  1. Levels of Courts

Zechariah 3:7 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘If you will walk in My ways and if you will perform My service, then you will also govern My house and also have charge of My courts, and I will grant you free access among these who are standing here.

  1. A mortal human is given access to courts of Heaven.
  2. What Heaven wants done requires our involvement.
  3. Our walk is very important because by it we gain authority in the courts.
  1. The Thrones

Hebrews 4:16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

  1. There is a court that we can operate in that is accessible to all. It is called the Throne of Grace. Everything that we deal with on a personal or family level can be brought before this court.
  2. The Devil has a legal right to withstand me. The only thing that will bring an answer is to remove the legal right the Devil has to resist us.

Proverbs 20:8 A king who sits on the throne of justice Disperses all evil with his eyes.

Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (Thrones of the Apostles)

Revelation 2:13 ‘I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is; and you hold fast My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.

Revelation 7:15 “For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.

Revelation 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.

Revelation 16:10 Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became darkened; and they gnawed their tongues because of pain,

Revelation 22:1 Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb,

Summary:

The Cross of Christ was a legal transaction …..

Leviticus 25:22-28 … Law of Redemption

Matthew 20:28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Romans 5:10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

1 John 3:16 We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us;
