The Board Plan & Creating a Sponsoring Environment

ABSOLUTELY NO TALK OF AMWAY, WWDB, PRODUCTS OR PROSPECTS THAT DID OR DIDN’T SHOW. NO PRODUCTS OR CATALOGS DISPLAYED BEFORE THE MEETING.

Purpose of a Board Plan

  1. To show the business plan and attitude of success
  2. Represent a multimillion dollar opportunity

Conversation Before the Plan

The point of conversation before the plan is to congratulate the prospect in making it to the meeting - that is, in being invited. Be focused in on how they will learn a great deal at the plan and that it is a privilege to be ther. Remember that you have no idea what step of the process someone is in. This is not the time to "connect" or "create a relationship" with someone else's guest.

Some Helpful Conversation Topics:

  • Welcome the guest
  • Congratulate them for being invited to attend
  • Ask who invited them? Affirm them as great people
  • Family / Occupation / Recreation (F-O-R)

Conversation After the Plan

Keep the conversation about the Business Opportunity. Be sure that you do not interject outside topics including current events, personal world view topics, or any type of negative. This environment needs to edify the speaker, the project, and the prospects' future should they earn an offer into the business.

Tools Needed

Each IBO is responsible to provide a Business Overview (BOV) and Information System for their guest. Remember that you are presenting a million dollar business and that how you present the business will determine how they perceive the opportunity. At this point, you are in business promotion mode. Some tips you can remember:

  1. Have the lights on both inside and outside the venue - this creates energy and helps build excitement,
  2. Don't change your furniture around - this is not necessary. Have extra chairs available, in case you need more for the people in attendance,
  3. Set up a white board, easel, markers and eraser where you and the speaker have planned,
  4. urn the phone (at the venue) ringer off - be sure to ask attendants to do the same to respect one another and the speaker,
  5. Eliminate distractions - have pets put away and children with the babysitter (or asleep),
  6. Have water or a (non-alcoholic) drink (such as a Perfect Water or an XS Energy drink) up front by the board for the speaker,
  7. Have Business Overview's (BOVs) and Information Systems prepared for your guests, and
  8. Have bars and other snacks prepared and covered on plates and XS in the refrigerator.

PRODUCTS NEEDED TO SAMPLE: (Order from

  1. A few flavors of meal bars, snack bars, energy or protein bars - cut into bite sized chunks
  2. Cold XS - 3 flavors or more - serve in small plastic sample sized cups
  3. Perfect water for demonstration and twist tubes

Business Recommended Dress - Dress for Success

The proper business attire will provide the proper frame of mind for your prospects, so be sure that you dress appropriately. It demonstrates that you are serious about this business!

  • MEN- Suit and tie
  • WOMEN- Conservative. Skirt/Blouse, dress, pantsuit (Must include a jacket)

Introducing the Speaker (Your Coach)

This is where you prepare people in attendance to listen to the speaker - your introduction is very important.

  1. Make people "want to hear" what the speaker has to say,
  2. Edify what the speaker is accomplishing or has accomplished in this business,
  3. Keep it professional - don't talk like the speaker is your buddy - give power to his words, and
  4. Be attentive to show your guests that you are pumped up. Record the meeting and take notes.

After the Speaker Finishes

  1. Introduce your guests to the speaker,
  2. Go over the information system with your guests after the plan - stress listening to the CD's and reading the book, and
  3. Book Follow-Up #1 or Follow-Up #2.

You're going to do awesome! Let's have fun and grow!
