CHOOSING SIXTH FORM COURSES
· Students in the Sixth Form usually study the equivalent of 3 courses in Y12. Please list your choice of 3 courses in the boxes below in priority order; 1 = first choice to 3 = third choice.
· In certain circumstances a fourth choice may be appropriate. If you feel this applies to you, please indicate your choice below with a ‘4’ in the appropriate box.
· The Level 3 BTEC Extended Diplomas in Business, Health & Social Care and Sport are each equivalent to 3 A levels and each count as 3 choices. Students choosing these courses should enter 1 in the appropriate box.
· The Level 3 BTEC Technical Level in Professional Cookery is equivalent to 2 A levels and counts as 2 choices. Students choosing this course should enter 1 in the appropriate box. It is possible to study another A level alongside this course.
· The Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Information Technology is equivalent to 1 A level and counts as 1 choice.
· The Level 3 Certificate in Maths is comparable to 1 AS level. Please tick the box at the foot of the page if you are interested in studying this course.
Please note the courses offered below are provisional at this stage and are subject to change depending on take-up. The final offer will be confirmed during the Spring Term. The school, however, guarantees that any subjects offered in Y12 will be continued into Y13. Students can therefore be confident that they will be able to complete their initial course of study.
