As your students write their paragraphs, please keep in mind that Ocean Leadership will be editing 150 biographies. The NOSB Program staff maintains editorial control over these sketches and requests that coaches read all biographical information before submitting. Inappropriate statements or language will be deleted and we can only accept one submission.
Below are some questions as well as a sample biography to help you and your students decide what to write in your own biographies. We want the biographies to reflect your students’ creativity and enthusiasm about the ocean sciences because you never know who might be reading them! J

Sample Bio
Mary Livingston is a 16 year old junior at Lakewood High School in Poolesville, FL. She has loved the ocean for as long as she can remember. Being from Florida she has had a lot of opportunities to explore the beaches and coastal areas around her hometown. Her favorite sea creature is the cushion star. Mary has been involved with NOSB since freshman year and has loved every second of it. Mary hopes that the knowledge and experience she has gained through this competition will help her get into the college of her choice, University of Florida!
