The Big Cat Sanctuary: Chef de Partie
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Chef de Partie to join our team, who is passionate about delivering amazing food, has a good palette and who is able to prepare fresh, high quality dishes from scratch.
This is the ideal role for someone looking to develop their existing skills to a higher level, as training will be given on-site, in our fully equipped pro-kitchen.
You will need to have had previous experience in a similar environment and be used to producing high quality food.
Transport is essential due to our location (although on-site subsidised accommodation may be available).
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- To prepare and present all food to the highest possible standard
- Keep up with industry trends and help create new dishes under the guidance of the Head Chef
- Be able to work alone, ensuring high standards are maintained at all times
- Ensure all required ingredients are prepared and ready for service and to write prep lists for the next shift
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and tidy and are completely cleaned at the end of each shift
- Run the pass for evening service and communicate effectively and professionally with the Front of House
- To Ensure all safety & sanitation procedures are followed and that all relevant paperwork is completed accordingly
Essential Skills & Requirements

- Committed to high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Flexible and committed
- Have excellent attention to detail
- 2 years experience as a Chef in a full-service restaurant or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of Food Handling/Hygiene (at least level 2)
This is a full-time position, working 5 over 7 days, 45 hours per week. Shifts are typically 11.30-21.30, although some flexibility will be required to cover holidays, special events etc
Salary £18720-£19890 depending on age and experience.
