Job Summary
As Graham FM continues to grow and expand throughout the UK and Ireland, we require an experienced Bid Manager to undertake the day to day development and production of bid submission documentation. This position will require drafting of bespoke proposals and adaption of existing documentation.
Reporting to the Submissions Manager the position will be key to achieving challenging Graham FM business targets through the production and delivery of PQQ’s, Tenders and other documentation which will be assessed by potential Clients .
The candidate must have exceptional writing and communication skills linking with the Graham FM Submissions Manager to create proposals and documents of outstanding quality. The candidate must also be able to work to tight and demanding deadlines.
The role may also require the candidate to liaise with potential Clients from time to time to develop proposals which could require occasional travel throughout the UK and Ireland
Job Description

The Bid Manager shall:

  • Effectively coordinate the drafting preparation and submission of documents to achieve agreed business objectives
  • Report regularly to the Submissions Manager on the progress of each PQQ and Tender against agreed deadlines
  • Interpret bid strategies to develop high quality bid documents/technical responses for approval by the Senior Management Team
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to obtain relevant or additional information necessary for submission development
  • Follow Graham FM business systems and policies
  • Continually review and improve PQQ / Bid Submissions
  • Be able to meet challenging deadlines
  • Be prepared to work in other regional offices from time to time to support regional tender opportunities

This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the Bid Manager and the range of duties to be undertaken.

It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals.

Technical Competencies
Essential
Have previous experience in an bid development/bid management or similar role
Demonstrate a good understanding of facility management service delivery or hard maintenance service delivery and be able to translate this into high quality proposals.
Demonstrate a good understanding of Client interface issues and develop robust proposals
Strong communication skills both written and oral
Extensive experience of Microsoft Office Programmes, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Project management track record
Ability to work off own initiative
Ability to be flexible and work under pressure
Hold a valid driving license
Desirable
Relevant FM qualification in an FM related Discipline / and or operational experience
Comprehensive understanding of the tender process within the FM industry
Experience of Indesign or similar desktop publishing packages
