Hello!We count it a blessing to meet and welcome every young woman who comes to Hannah House. It is an honor to be a part of our residents’ everyday lives. We work hard but we have a lot of fun here at Hannah House. We love to watch the women who live here, learn and grow. It is our hope that we will be able to meet you and welcome you into our home here at Hannah House. Below is a list of a a few things we think you will like about living at Hannah House.
Benefit 1-- The Hannah House is beautiful. It is a5 bedroom 5 bathroom Victorian home, built in the 1800s. It has been fully restored and renovated. It truly is a BEAUTIFUL home. We hope you will enjoy Hannah House’s updated look, boldpaint colors, and homey living environment. Hannah House is a safe place, a place of peace and rest for you.Please call us to schedule a tour of the house. Benefit 2--Our Hannah House staff members! We have an amazing, fun loving, caring, and nurturing staff! I am so blessed to work alongside all of these women. Our staff will be right along side you during your pregnancy and your stay at Hannah House.Our staff is knowledgeable, supportive, helpful, and great listeners. Hannah House is staffed 24/7. There is always someone available to assist you. You will learn from our staff. You will receive lots of love, encouragement, and support from our staff.
Benefit 3-- Your housemates!You will have housemates who may become lifelong friends as you share in this journey with them during your stay at Hannah House. We have had many a life long friendships and bonds made between housemates here at Hannah House.
Benefit 4--The cost of living at Hannah House is free. We are a not-for profit Christian organization and we do not charge any living expenses or fees for our services. Hannah House is a place you can come to focus on you and your pregnancy without having to worry about living expenses, shelter, food, or transportation.
Benefit 5-- Transportation provided free! We, as a staff, will assist with your transportation in our Hannah House minivan (as we affectionately call the “HHV”) to your Dr. appointments, work, school, etc.
Benefit 6--We provide all food at Hannah House free. You will team up with staff and your housemates to plan the menu, prepare the foods, and grocery shop. Our grocery trips are a lot of fun!
Benefit 7--Childbirth Classes free! During your stay at Hannah House you will attend Childbirth Classes to prepare you for labor and delivery. A trained labor coach and childbirth expert will support you by attending your Dr. appointments and your birth.
Benefit 8--The opportunity to complete your GED, or High School Diploma if you haven’t already. We will get you plugged into a program and provide all the support you need to accomplish your educational goals.
Benefit 9--Case Management! You will meet weekly for case management and discuss your personal goals, and any other issues or concerns you have. We have watched many women meet and attain their goals while living at Hannah House.
Benefit 10--We are here to meet your needs! Whether it’s finding a counselor, tutor, church, doctor, employment, a breastfeeding class, baby clothes, legal advice, medical care…we are here to help you. If we don’t have it, we will help you find the resources.
