Membership dues are payable on or beforeJanuary 1st. No member may vote whose dues are not paid for the current year. A membership will be considered lapsed if a member's dues remain unpaid by April 1, 2017.

Winterfest – Hosted by Peg Scheunemann
January Meeting/Party – Sat January 7th 2017, Sunday the 8th if the weather is bad on Sat.
This year Winter Fest will be held at my place. I live in a Condo Association called Leisure Village in Fox Lake Illinois. I am asking members who will be coming to the Fest to bring either an appetizer or a dessert. The main dish will be provided. I know many of you are great cooks and I also know that there will be an abundant supply of good food items. Winter Fest will be held on Saturday January 7th with the 8th being the alternative in case of bad weather. Further details will be in the December newsletter. Thanks
A Recipe for Your Dog
TURKEY AND CRANBERRY TREATS
Wondering what to do with leftover turkey and cranberries? These treats combine
Thanksgiving's most popular foods in a healthy and tasty treat.
YIELDS: 36 (2") TREATS
3 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup cooked, chopped turkey
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 egg
1/2 cup water or broth, as needed
1 cup whole cranberries
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease two cookie sheets.
2. In a large bowl, mix the flour and baking powder. In a blender or
food processor, combine the turkey, olive oil, and egg (and some of the water or broth as needed).
3.Pour this mixture into the mixing bowl with the dry ingredients and stir to create a thick dough.
4. On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough. (This is a heavy
dough so you'll need to put a little muscle in it!)
5. Cut into biscuit shapes and place on cookie sheets. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool completely before serving or refrigerating.
Refrigerate for 3 days or freeze in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

Having fun with Ralphie and Vito, who both earned their BARNHUNT Open titles at the Sheboygan Dog Training Club in October. Now it’s on to Senior BARNHUNT work!

GR CH Honorbright Summer Blonde Ale JH RE AX AXJ NF MXJP RATS TN-N WC (Summer) finished her master agility preferred and open fast preferred titles at the Lakeland DTC agility trial on Oct 8th. She also earned two master barn hunt legs at the Sheboygan DTC barn hunt trials on 10/22. Summer is co-owned by Pat Kroll.
SHR Dunn's Marsh Chocolate Martini SH RE RATO WCX(Marti) finished her Senior Barn Hunt title at the Sheboygan DTC on 10/22.
On 10/30 Summer had 2 more q's to finish her Master Barn Hunt title. She had her first Q 9/10 then time off until last Sat. and earned four Master q's in a row to finish the title! Her daughter Marti moved to Master and got her first Q!
