EXPLANATORY NOTES
Excellence in Energy Management
Description
This award recognizes Energy Efficiency National Partnership (EENP) companies that have demonstrated a high level of commitment to energy management.
Eligibility
Application for the award is open to all local EENP companies that can demonstrate sustained improvement in energy performance of their plants/sites through a corporate-wide energy program.
Assessment Criteria
Candidates are evaluated based on the following:

  • Training & Capability Building
2Record of continuous and sustained energy intensity improvements[1]
  • Energy Monitoring System
  • Sustained Energy Performance1

In addition to the above criteria, past winners of the EENP Awards will be evaluated based on new initiatives/measures/programmes and achievements that were not submitted in their previous application(s).

Application
Applicants shall submit an overview of their company and their company’s energy management system (EnMS). Applicants shall also highlight the key accomplishments that make them eligible for this award. Shortlisted applications will be invited to give a short presentation to the judging panel.
To assist us in processing your application speedily, detailed and complete information and necessary supporting documents must be provided. If the space provided is insufficient, a separate sheet may be used. Information that is not yet available or not applicable must be indicated accordingly.
Applications are to be submitted by 31 March 2016. you have any difficulties in completing the form or if you need any further information. Shortlisted companies may be required to undergo a 1-day audit visit by the judging panel.

PART II – INFORMATION ON YOUR COMPANY’S energy management system

Please provide an overview of your company, your company’s energy management system (EnMS) and highlight the key accomplishmentsin energy efficiency that make your company eligible for the award.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK

ENERGY MONITORING SYSTEMS

  • Does your company have an online energy monitoring system?
  • Describe the energy monitoring system established within your company. Please provide information on thedifferent energy-intensive systems being monitored (i.e. steam systems, motor systems, chiller systems, compressed air system), the degree of resolution of monitoring involved (i.e. is there sub-metering for energy-intensive systems?), the key metrics monitored and also the frequency of monitoring of the metrics by the various management levels.

SUSTAINED ENERGY PERFORMANCE

  • Provide information on the significant energy savings and energy intensity improvement that your company has achieved.Please provide the energy performance indicatorused, and details for at least the past 2 yearsfrom the time of application for this award. Please alsoindicate if these figures are estimated or measured.Please fill up Table 1 – Template for Energy Performance Improvement found in Annex A.
  • Provide a list of the energy-saving projects completed, including details of the energy savings achieved per project.Please indicate if the energy savings achieved are estimated or measured.Please fill up Table 2 – Template for List of Projects found in Annex A.
  • List past awards and recognition that your company has earned for its achievements in energy efficiency, if any.Please fill up Table 3 – Template for List of Awards / Recognition found in Annex A.
